The city has launched an online survey seeking resident input on the airport.
The survey, available at getinvolvedleth.ca, will run until April 30.
The city wants to know what residents would like to see the airport improve to better serve them, passengers and the surrounding community.
“As we’ve been working to make lots of improvements out at the airport in the terminal and for our customers, we want to make sure we are getting a good sense of what our customers are wanting,” said Abby Slovack, general manager of Opportunity Lethbridge, on Monday.
“The survey will help the City understand past travel patterns of customers,” she said, and where their trips are taking them.
The City also wants to understand future travel desires, Slovak said.
“We want to get a sense of where customers are looking at travelling to in the future” both domestically and internationally, Slovack said.
Data collected will help the City when it talks to airline partners about future opportunities. It also helps the City plan future enhancements at the airport, Slovack added.
Information collected will also assist the City when dealing with different airlines about potentially offering routes, Slovack said.
The City has had community feedback but not in a formalized manner, she said.
