Poisonous batch of opioids circulating in region

By Lethbridge Herald on February 5, 2022.

A poisonous batch of opioids have resulted in an increase in poisoning seen in Lethbridge, Fort Macleod and the Blood Tribe community.
The Blood Tribe Communications team distributed an alert on social media on Thursday, asking people to be aware of the bad batch.
The post read in part, “Absolutely do not use alone, always have a naloxone kit on hand, drug colour is peach, please check on family and loved ones especially if they are sleeping.”
The post shows members of the Blood Tribe are able to find naloxone kits at the Blood Tribe Fire Hall, local pharmacies and the Standoff Safe House-Spirit of Hope Community House #729.
The SOHCH provides safe supply kits, naloxone kits, training as well as snacks and meals.
