Shoe Tree owner Michele Nobert has been helping her customers find a comfortable way to walk through life for the last eight years, and they have taken notice.
“It is such an honour to win Best of the Best when it is being voted on by this amazing community,” said Nobert.
She said it has been a privilege to be chosen by the community as Best of the Best for three years, especially since she has only been in business for eight.
“This is definitely a pick me up as the last few years have been a struggle for a lot of small business owners, us included,” said Nobert.
She said that in the last couple of years she had a voice in the back of her head creating some doubts about her ability to help the business prosper.
Nobert said questions like ‘is there something I can do better?’ And ‘Am I not providing the product or service that the consumer would like to see?’ creeped in from time to time, and therefore being voted as Best of the Best means so much more.
“Being recognized during these trying times makes it all the more special, removing that doubt with the reassurance from the wonderful community that you, my customers, are happy with your experience here at the Shoe Tree. This truly means so much to me,” said Nobert.
Nobert is a wife, a mother of two girls and one boy, and a grandmother. Her family has called Lethbridge home for the past 25 years.
“It really brings me great joy doing the research and providing the wonderful styles and selections you find here at the Shoe Tree,” said Nobert.
She said running the store is not work for her, it is a passion.
“It is rewarding to know that you have helped someone feel comfortable and confident as they walk through life,” said Nobert.
She said she is very happy to be able to have her store in the heart of downtown Lethbridge, located at 326 6 St South, and even though construction has had some impact on her business, she is looking forward to the summer when she hopes foot traffic to her shoe store will increase.
