A 31-year-old Lethbridge man caught in a drug bust more than a year ago, is scheduled to stand trial later this year.
Clayton James Redel, who previously pleaded not guilty and elected to be tried by a provincial court judge, is set to stand trial Sept. 12-13 on charges of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000, and unlawfully possessing marijuana plants in excess of the allowable limit under the Cannabis Act.
After observing activity consistent with drug trafficking, Lethbridge police searched a vehicle and home in the 800 block of 17 Street South on Feb. 3, 2021.
Police seized 13.8 grams of cocaine, worth about $1,380, a number of marijuana plants and $1,390 in cash.
