Children of all ages along with their accompanying adults had the opportunity to explore the Galt Museum and Archives exhibits while hunting for paper Easter eggs among other activities Saturday.
Over 200 people attended this year’s Easter activities at the Galt Museum and Archives, where they were able to create easter bunny headbands, water-painted paper Easter eggs, and had the opportunity to learn Ukrainian dance moves from Lethbridge’s Troyanda Ukrainian Dance Club.
“It’s wonderful to see all the smiling faces, and the Easter Bunny hats, and people having a lot of fun. We’re happy to see and welcome people back into the Galt Museum,” said Janae Redgrave, community program coordinator.
The Troyanda Ukrainian Dance Club showcased three dances, one performed by the dance group, one by the ‘little stars’ which is made up of younger dancers, and one performed by the adult dancers.
“We had a lot of fun but most importantly we had a workshop, so we invited members of the audience young and even younger, and they practiced some of the steps with us,” said Pat Williams, dancer and mother of a dancer.
