The Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization (LSCO) is celebrating its 50th Anniversary with a community Open House on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Everyone is invited to explore the centre, connect with LSCO clubs and groups, and discover the many programs and services available for older adults and the wider community.
The event will feature free 30-minute trial classes for different mobility and fitness levels.
• 10:15 a.m. – Line Dancing, Gentle Exercise, Essentrics
• 11:15 a.m. – Pilates, Seniors Who Lift, Yoga for Seniors
• 12:15 p.m. – Line Dancing, Gentle Exercise, Essentrics
• 1:15 p.m. – Pilates, Seniors Who Lift, Yoga for Seniors
It will also include guided facility tours every 30 minutes showcasing LSCO’s programs, services, and spaces. A chance to enjoy the LSCO’s 50’s Style Diner on a weekend, and the return of their famous Dumbo Ears, back by popular demand after selling more than 1,500 during Whoop-Up Days.
“This Open House is about celebrating 50 years of LSCO serving the community, while giving people a chance to experience the wide range of opportunities available here,” says Executive Director, Kaitlynn Weaver. “From classes and groups to support services, there is something for everyone at LSCO.”
LSCO clubs and groups such as the Amateur Radio Club, Genealogy, Karaoke, Computer Club, Badminton, Table Tennis and more will also be on hand to showcase what they do, answer questions, and welcome new members.
The event is free to attend and open to all.
