Generation Rising invites the Lethbridge community for a Christmas concert Friday with award-winning violinist and vocalist Rosemary Siemens that promises music to inspire and stories to uplift and bring joy in keeping with the spirit of the season.
Siemens is bringing the joy of Christmas to communities across Canada this November with three free concerts of music, hope, and holiday celebration in Red Deer, Leduc and Lethbridge. The concerts are free and open to the public.
“These concerts are more than music,” says Rafael Duerksen, Executive Director of Generation Rising. “They are a celebration of joy, community, and the message of hope we have in Christ.”
The Lethbridge concert will take place Friday at 7 p.m. at the College Drive Community Church at 2710 College Drive South.
Known for her world-class performances and heart for ministry, Siemens has inspired audiences around the world, from the Vatican to Carnegie Hall. Now she is sharing the wonder of Christmas through a series of concerts designed to bring families, churches, and communities together.
The evening will feature Rosemary’s signature blend of stirring violin performances, timeless carols, and stories of faith that point hearts toward the true meaning of Christmas.
Originally from Manitoba, Siemens has performed in iconic venues like the Grand Ole Opry and Carnegie Hall, and is also known for being the first violinist to play in the Sistine Chapel at the Vatican.
An award-winning artist, she also has a mission to revive hymns through her popular YouTube channel, “Sunday Hymn Serenade,” which has garnered over 150 million views.
She has also performed for political leaders and received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond and Platinum Jubilee Medals for her contributions to the arts.
Siemens’ other awards include Bluegrass Artist of the Year from the Inspirational Country Music Awards, and Country/Gospel Album of the Year from the Canadian Gospel Music Awards for her album Plum Coulee, My Home. She has also received a YouTube Silver Creator Award and a Centennial Medal from the University of Miami.
