The case of a 22-year-old charged with luring a child under 14 and invitation to sexual touching was heard in Lethbridge court Friday.
Sean Cedric Bilo’s charges stem from an incident that took place in December 2025.
In mid-December 2025, police responded to a report that a 13-year-old girl was contacted on Snapchat by then 21-year-old Bilo, who wanted to meet and have sex.
The girl, who was with friends, met Bilo at a city park, and police were subsequently contacted.
Lethbridge Police shared in a press release earlier this month, that Bilo left prior to police arrival but descriptions of him and his vehicle were provided, and officers located him, and he was arrested without incident.
Further investigation confirmed Bilo had been communicating with the 13-year-old girl online, was aware of her age and offered to buy her alcohol and then take her to his residence.
On Friday, Bilo’s case was adjourned as his lawyer needed more time to obtain instructions from him and at that point, they will be in a better position to take further steps.
Bilo remains in custody and is next scheduled to appear in court March 27.
