Chrystia Freeland says Pierre Poilievre will ‘sell’ Canada out to Donald Trump

OTTAWA — Former finance minister Chrystia Freeland is billing herself as the best person to lead Canada’s fight against Donald Trump.
In her first campaign ad since joining the Liberal leadership race Friday Freeland claims Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre would sell Canada out to Trump.
The ad was launched in a video message posted to social media this morning.
In it she reminds Canadians that she led negotiations with Trump to update the North American Free Trade Agreement and that he doesn’t like her “very much” because Canada won that battle.
She also says she left Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s cabinet in December because she knows how to win the next fight with Trump.
Freeland confirmed on social media on Friday she is entering the race to replace Trudeau but is planning a full campaign launch Sunday in Toronto.
Former central banker Mark Carney launched his campaign Thursday in Edmonton while Liberal House leader Karina Gould is set to do so this weekend.
Ottawa MP Chandra Arya and former Montreal MP Frank Baylis have both indicated they intend to run as has Cape Breton MP Jaime Battiste.
Potential candidates only have a matter of days left to declare they will vie for the party’s top job before the cutoff deadline on Thursday.

Too late for Poilievre to sell out Canada. The Liberals did that in the trade deals with not just the US but Asian countries, giving away some of our sovereignty in each one.
You ignored Arctic security, military increases to support NATO and have bankrupt our miitary, as seen by media with our troops in Latvia, which was an embarrassment and shameful, but that is the Liberal way. Letting the US protect us on our own soil to the point we could lose our Arctic.
Freeland is very much responsible for our relationship with the US, as she so stated, and it is a mess, as many of our international partners who have taken a step back after Trudeau flew around critizing them and acted like he was a King over them! The openly supported Hamas and Hezbollah, and allowed terrorist funding for pro-Palestinian protests in Canada, which even inlcuded kids at McGill being brainwashed that Hamas was good, as our flag was burned and death to Canada called outs on our streets!
This is the divided Canada you have enabled and destroyed a once great country, leaving us bankrupt, facing a debt wall from doubling our national debt is just a few years, after it hovering between $500 billion to $700 billion for several DECADES.
You and the NDP who kept you in power are soon going to see how Canadians feel about you!
And lastly— we will never, never win the Tariff war with the US! Only a fool would believe this and it will destroy our economy rapidly, but the Liberal leadership, with its policies were destroying our economy and sovereignty before, so Trudeau must be smiling and laughing at us. He was too smart to do it by mistake!
