OTTAWA — ‘Freedom Convoy’ organizer Pat King was sentenced to three months of house arrest in an Ottawa court this morning.
The sentence includes 100 hours of community service at a food bank or men’s shelter.
It comes on top of nine months he spent in custody both before and during his trial.
King was found guilty on five of nine charges in November, including mischief and disobeying a court order, for his role in the 2022 protest that took over downtown Ottawa for three weeks.
Justice Charles Hackland says King must remain at his residence, except for three hours on Monday afternoons to “get necessities for life” or for court and community service requirements.
Hackland also told King he must not return to Ottawa except for court appearances and must stay away from six other convoy leaders, including Tamara Lich and Chris Barber.

So in the end, Trudeau use of the Emergencies Act gets him 3 months at home. A nothing burger.
Although I was against the type of protest that got out hand and trampled the rights of those living in that area of Ottawa, it was about our freedom, The organizers have been arrested and spent years in court, wondering what their punishment would be. Was it all fair?
I don’t believe so, since terrorist funded protesters have burned our flag here in Canada on our streets and on our universities, saying death to Canada, death to Jews, and even at Mcgill University had a summer camp, filling young minds with disinformation, lies and how to protest.
This is what was posted on a Pro-Palestinian website:
#Revolt4Rafah, the Gaza Solidarity Encampment at McGill launched the Revolutionary Youth Summer Program.
The post went of to say “We pledge to educate the youth of montreal and redefine McGill’s “elite” institutional legacy by transforming its space into one of revolutionary education. The daily schedule will include physical activity, Arabic language instruction, cultural crafts, political discussions, historical and revolutionary lessons.”
One can only imagine what the “political’ and “historical” discussion were, brainwashing and lies that Israel are occupiers of the land, when they are Indigenous, for thousands of years.
There just is no common sense anymore!
“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.”
‘Freedom’ to care only about oneself. The centre cannot hold againts the centrifugal forces of selfishness, intolerance and oppression. We should be standing with the vulnerable and the oppressed: But for the grace of god, go I.
