Canada pledges $30M in Gaza aid, $10M for Palestinian Authority work toward statehood

OTTAWA — Canada is adding $30 million to its humanitarian funding for Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, along with $10 million to help the Palestinian Authority reform itself for eventual statehood.
Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand is announcing the new funding today at a major United Nations conference in New York aimed at finding ways to preserve the two-state solution.
The conference is taking place as international experts warn of starvation in Gaza, where Israel has slightly loosened its restrictions on aid deliveries to desperate Palestinians.
Anand says the $30 million will get to Gaza “as soon as logistically possible” and calls for a ceasefire to help the region move toward peace.
Canada has not joined France in announcing plans to recognize a Palestinian state, and is instead saying that the Palestinian Authority must “undertake the comprehensive reforms necessary to govern Gaza and the West Bank.”
Ottawa is pledging $10 million to accelerate reform so that the Palestinian Authority can provide “legitimate, democratic governance.”

I would hope that his time the aid makes it the Gazan people without Hamas commandeering it and then using it to control the Gazans, then selling the donated aid to them to support their terrorist activities. Canadian tax dollars helped Hamas build hundreds of miles of tunnels and subterranean structures below Gaza meant for one purose, to attack the Israeli’s.
The Palestinian Health Authority is no different, using money to support terrorists like Hezbollah and others who slay innocent Israeli’s, then get paid for life, if they survive, or their families as a one time payment. The Pay to Slay program which they said they would end, but it still continues.
That is why many of the dead civilian Israeli’s were brought back to Gaza, to receive rewards of cash up to $10,000 per Jew or a paid home! They brought them back like one would bring back a trophy animal!
This is our pro-terrorist government have under the Liberals! Not much as changed! As I stated after the election; no changes, just a Chretien-Trudeau 2.0 government! We have not seen the true colours of this government come out yet, but one thing is clear, they still use our tax dollars to support terrorism! They allow pro-Hamas paid protestors to illegally protest while burning our flag, calling for genocide of the Israeli’s, death to Canada, while calling out ‘we are Hamas’!
This is our government! Meanwhile a Christian praise and worship band is banned from several concerts, breaching freedom of religion and speech!
This is only the beginning of our slide into the abyss!
