OTTAWA — Canada’s annual inflation rate was 2.4 per cent in December, Statistics Canada says. Here’s what happened in the provinces (previous month in brackets):
— Newfoundland and Labrador: 3.0 per cent (2.2)
— Prince Edward Island: 2.8 per cent (1.4)
— Nova Scotia: 3.1 per cent (2.4)
— New Brunswick: 3.1 per cent (2.7)
— Quebec: 3.2 per cent (3.0)
— Ontario: 2.1 per cent (1.9)
— Manitoba: 3.7 per cent (3.3)
— Saskatchewan: 2.2 per cent (2.1)
— Alberta: 2.1 per cent (1.9)
— British Columbia: 1.7 per cent (2.0)
