OTTAWA — Former Liberal cabinet minister Kirsty Duncan has died at the age of 59 following a years-long battle with cancer.

Duncan served as the MP for the Toronto riding of Etobicoke North from 2008 to 2025, and sat in cabinet in the portfolios of sport and science between 2015 and 2019.
