Lucy Ferguson passed away in Calgary, AB on the morning of Monday, July 8, 2013 at the Rockyview Hospital at the age of 91 years. Born May 12, 1922 in Lethbridge, AB to Tom and Esther Hardy, Lucy will be deeply missed by family and all who knew her. SUSAN HARTY passed away with her loving family at her side, at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, July 9, 2013.
Susan is survived by her mother Irene; brother Roger (Chris) and their children Matthew and Mitchell; sister Linda Switzer (Joe Arnold) and Linda’s son Shane; and Lady, Susan’s loving dog.
She is predeceased by her father, Jacob.
A Funeral Service will be held at ST. AUGUSTINE’S ANGLICAN CHURCH, 411 – 11 Street South, Lethbridge, AB on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Canon James Robinson officiating. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.

RIETHMAN, Joanne Carol

January 26, 1958 – June 30, 2013
Our dear Jo left us in the early morning of Sunday, June 30, 2013 after many years battling many illnesses. Her father, Lloyd predeceased her in 2008. She leaves behind her mother, Lorna; sister, Donna and John Binley of Winnipe; Husband, Ross Murray; aunt and uncle, Ruth and Ken Hudson; aunt, Diana Riethman; Jane Jackson (close friend and caregiver since 1999) and her family as well as many friends who knew her through work with the Calgary Public Library and Calgary Board of Education, several humane and rescue societies (A.S.P.C.A Calgary, Oops-a-Dazy), and her crafted cards and gifts though the years. Also Max and Jet, her two current dogs. She loved the people, the dogs (all of hers and others), mountain scenery, books, music, movies, some television shows, and the good times she had with family and friends in spite of all her illness and pain. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Lupus Society of Alberta (the root cause), the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Oops-a-Dazy Rescue & Sancuary Society, Calgary Humane Society or any other charity of your choice. A Celebration of her Life will take place Saturday, July 12, 2013 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at North Haven Community Hall, 5003 North Haven Drive NW Calgary, AB. STAUTH, EUGENE
1917 – 2013
Eugene passed away peacefully in Victoria, B.C. on June 22, 2013 at 95 years of age. He was born in Retlaw, Alberta and moved to Turin Alberta where he attended Elementary and High School. He joined the Air Force in 1942 and served until 1945. He moved to Victoria B.C. in 1946 and was employed by the city of Victoria as a bus driver for 35 years. He held a private Pilots license and built his own airplane. Every year he would fly out to Lethbridge to visit his sisters and brothers and many close relatives. Eugene is survived by his sisters Yvonne Klinkhammer of Lethbridge and Maxine Stauth of Hamilton Ontario,
He was predeceased by his father Ernest and his Mother Edna, his brothers Wilfred and Bernard and sister Phyllis Buchan.
There were no services by request. Cremation and burial took place at Hatley Memorial Gardens in Victoria B.C.

DEANNA M. TAMTOM passed away in Raymond on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the age of 73 years, beloved wife of Michael Tamtom.

THELMA STARR
1918 ~ 2013
Thelma Starr (nee Lockard, Fitzsimmons) was born August 26, 1918, and passed to be with our Lord on July 10, 2013 at the full age of 94 years.
Thelma was predeceased by her husband Bud Starr and eight brothers and sisters. She left to mourn her four children: George (Helena), Fitzsimmons, Judy (Leonard) Laurendeau, Ron Starr, Devon (Jack) Harrow. She loved her eight grandchildren: Heather (Rod) Fitzsimmons-Frey, Mark (Sue) Fitzsimmons; Jim (Gloria) Laurendeau, Steve Laurendeau; Riley Starr, Cayleigh Starr; Emma Harrow, Kate (Jared) Cooper. She also leaves behind seven great- grandchildren.
Thelma will be remembered for her love of family, her joy of entertaining, her gifts in music and choir directing. She held firm convictions and support for Christ’s teachings. She was a wonderful exemplar of how to love and how to give of one’s self to His glory.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Rosscarrock Church of Christ, 1140 – 40 St. S.W., Calgary, AB T3C 1W5, with Pastor John Nicholson officiating.
A Funeral Service and Committal will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, July 16th, 2013 at Central Church of Christ, 716 – 23 Street N.W., Lethbridge, AB. T1H 3S7, with Pastors Jim Chapman and Wes Midget officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alberta Bible College, 635 Northmount Dr. NW, Calgary, AB T2K 3J6.
