BENNETT
MR HAROLD ENNISS BENNETT, of Cardston, Alberta, beloved husband of the late Dora (Shields) Bennett, passed away peacefully at the Cardston hospital on July 16th, at the age of 92 years. Harold was born in Nightingale, Alberta, on May 4, 1921, the fourth of twelve children of Victor and Lois (Garner ) Bennett, and was raised in Magrath, Alberta.
Harold is survived by his children, Rae Ann (Kim) Shipley of Barrhead, AB, Blair (Jane) Bennett of Calgary, AB, Barbara (Steve) Coombs of Sandy, Utah, Doug (Lorrie) Bennett of Raymond, AB, and Mark (Susan) Bennett of Cardston, AB; siblings Don (Iris), Garth (Sheila), Doug (Eleanor), Vernice Rhees, and Zina (Deane) Jensen, as well as twenty-eight grandchildren and seventy-one great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife of sixty-six years, Dora, as well as his parents, Vic and Lois, and siblings Theron, Golda, Reid, Melba, Keith and Bruce.
After finishing high school, Harold moved with his family to Edmonton, Alberta, where he enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force, and served as a flight instructor during the Second World War. Harold married his eternal sweetheart on October 8, 1945 in the Cardston, Alberta Temple, and they raised their children in Edmonton, AB, where Harold worked as a registrar for the Alberta government (Lands and Forests) until his retirement in 1976. Harold and Dora enjoyed their retirement years in Raymond, Lethbridge and Cardston, and enjoyed spending their winters in Hawaii and Desert Hot Springs, California.
Harold was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many capacities, including Bishop and Temple President in Cardston, AB. He blessed the lives of his family and friends with his profound love, warmth, and sense of humor. Nothing gave Harold greater joy than to be surrounded by his posterity.
The Funeral Service will be held in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Temple Street Chapel, Cardston, AB. on Saturday, July 20th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with President Larry Schow Officiating. Friends may meet the family at the Church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the Service. Interment to follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond, Alberta at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, those who desire may donate to a charity of their choice.

passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at St. Michael’s Health Centre at the age of 84 years.
She is predeceased by her loving husband Kazimierz “Cap”.
Christina is survived by three daughters: Adele (Bill) Douglas, Rita (John) Zubach and Sandi (Jack) Jensen; eight grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13 Street North, Lethbridge.

Our dear mom, TONI GEJDOS, of Lethbridge, passed away at the St. Michael’s Health Centre on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 86 years.
She is the loving mother of Linda Pedersen, Debbie (Patrick) Reid, and Joyce (Bob) Miles. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; Tami, Kent, Michael (Vicki), John, Danny, Carrie (Kingsley), and Troy (Sarah).
Toni also leaves behind 4 great granddaughters and 2 great great-grandsons, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She is predeceased by her husband John, her sisters and brothers-in-law; Margaret & Agi Wolosiuk, Fina & Juro Sivak.
At the age of 21, she came to Canada with her mom and sister Margaret to settle with her dad on a farm in Legend, Alberta. She met our dad and was married on October 30, 1948. She and dad lived in Creston, B.C. until 1952 when they moved back to Alberta and started farming near Foremost. After 21 years they retired to Lethbridge in 1973. Mom and dad enjoyed fishing, camping, playing cards and entertaining. Mom was a wonderful cook, great hostess and the best Nana. Her unconditional love will always be remembered.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2405 12th Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB, on Saturday, July 20th, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Kevin Tumback, Celebrant.

Joe Megyes
1930 – 2013
Joseph Megyes, beloved husband of Anne Megyes, passed away in Taber on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the age of 82 years.
A private family burial will be held at the Taber Memorial Garden prior to the funeral service.

Joe leaves behind his loving wife of sixty one years, Anne;  daughters Janet Megyes of Lethbridge and Joanne (Glen) Sparks of Taber; son Jerry (Lori) Megyes of Taber; grandchildren Kandace Sparks, Kodi (Kym) Sparks, Melissa Megyes and Neil Megyes. He is also survived by his sisters Elizabeth (Alex) Forsyth of Viking and Mary (Bob) Swain of Calgary; brother Alex (Anne) Astalos of Taber and brother-in-law David Duggan of Taber.
He was predeceased by his parents Jim and Julia Astalos; father and mother-in-law Peter and Margaret Braun; sister Margaret Duggan as well as numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.
Joe was born in Taber on August 21, 1930. He started farming at a young age and continued to do so, until he became involved with cattle in later years. Buying and selling for Balog Auction then became his passion which he continued to do until his health prevented him. Joe went through a multitude of challenges with courage, pain and silent dignity. When told that he sacrificed time with his family for what he loved doing most, taking care of farming, cattle and helping others; a family member then said, doesn¹t that mean he¹s a good man.
Yes that ³Magic² was a good man.
