CRANE CHIEF
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of DANIEL JARVIS CRANE CHIEF on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 in Lethbridge, AB.
Daniel was born on Sept. 30, 1996 to Vivian Crying Head and the late Roland Crane Chief Sr.. He leaves to mourn his mother Vivian (Trevor Cross Child); siblings Rommel, Rolanda (Brandon), Trevor (Kirsten), Roland Jr., Nikki, adopted brother Marvin Crying Head; grandparents Elizabeth & Martin Vielle and Rex & Debbie First Charger; great grandmother Clothilda First Charger; nieces Tanisha Crying Head & Maraya Thunder; nephews Aaron Thunder & Braden Brave Rock; aunts Cheryl (Miles), Eleanor (Patrick), Rochelle & Nathan Wolf, Lilian (Clayton), Trishia (John), Rochelle and Kelsey; uncle Morgan (Candice); great aunts Sherry (Blaine) Parkins, Wanda (Oliver) Crane Chief, Karen Crane Chief, Rita (Pete) Many Fingers, Veronica Crying Head, Suzanne (Delvin) First Charger, Gale First Charger, Myrna Chief Moon, Karen Bad Man, Wilma Hunt, Joanne (Philip) Wolf Child, Mary Sweet Grass, Annie Crying Head; great uncles Martin Hairy Bull, Calvin Across The Mtn, Clarence Crane Chief, Warren Hunt, Robert Bad Man, Ivan & Murray First Charger.
Daniel was predeceased by his father Roland Crane Chief Sr., grandparents Dan & Eileen Crane Chief, great grandmother Rachel Crying Head; niece Hailey Brave Rock.
Daniel passed away at the tender age of 16 years and was looking forward to returning to Kainai High School. He shared his name with his late grandfather Dan Crane Chief and late uncle Daniel Crane Chief, making him the third generation. In his younger years, he attended Levern School and Kainai Middle School where he enjoyed playing basketball and participating in long distant running. He also enjoyed fishing, swimming, helping the Hairy Bull family with tipi poles in the summer, doing yard work for various relatives. Being the youngest child, he was often depended upon to cook when his older siblings were “lazy” or so he would tell them. Daniel was also the family baby sitter, often babysitting his nieces & nephews, baby sister Nikki and baby cousin Vern. Daniel often kept himself busy and wasn’t afraid of hard work.
Our baby son, little brother, cousin and friend will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
A Wake Service will be held at the New Life Fellowship Church, (Little Chicago), Blood Reserve on Friday, August 30th from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. continuing all night at Vivian Crying Head’s residence. The Funeral Service will be held at the New Life Fellowship Church, Blood Reserve on Saturday, August 31st at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Joshua Curly Rider officiating. Interment in the Pioneer Cemetery, Blood Reserve.

JACOB VANDEN HOEK
1920 ~ 2013
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Jacob Vanden Hoek, beloved husband of Maria, on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at the age of 92 years.
Besides his loving wife Maria, Jacob is survived by his 3 daughters Margaret (Tony) Slingerland, Rita (John) Kreft and Jackie (Hans) Kuperus; his sons Tony (Vicky) Vanden Hoek and Dinant Vanden Hoek; 23 grandchildren, 44 great- grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
He was predeceased by his parents Kornelis and Maatje Vanden Hoek, 8 brothers, 5 sisters, his son Kasey, and 2 great- grandchildren.
Condolences will be held from 7:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, August 30, 2013 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4th Street South, Lethbridge.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the NETHERLANDS REFORMED CONGREGATION, Highway 3, Lethbridge with Reverend A.H. Verhoef officiating.

Mr. Michael “Mike” Keul, beloved husband of Mrs. Monica Keul, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at the age of 56 years.
Besides his loving wife Monica Keul, he is survived by his daughters Kristy Keul and Sandra Keul (Michael Neville JR); his grandchildren Tristin Keul and Zachary Neville; his sisters Frieda Keul and Betty Keul and brother John Keul; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

MYRNA BETH TILLACK WENZEL
passed away at her home in Edmonton, on Friday, August 23, 2013. Myrna was born on January 25, 1943 and grew up in Raymond. She graduated from Raymond High School and the University of Calgary, then taught school in Calgary before serving an LDS mission in San Antoine, TX.
She married Hans Wenzel in 1971 and lived in many communities throughout Alberta before settling in Edmonton.
Myrna was very involved in Family History and Genealogical research.
She is survived by her husband, a son Chris Wenzel, and three daughters, Shara, Cindy, and Rita, as well as four grandchildren and her sisters Marie Fisk of Cardston, Eunice Way of Edmonton and her brother Gordon Tillack of Las Vegas, NV.
She was predeceased by a son Marten, and her parents, Charles Tillack and Velma Meldrum Tillack .
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 30, at 12:00 p.m. in St.Albert Stergeon Ward with interment to follow in Namao Cemetery. Serenity Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
