Mrs. Anna Kostiuk, beloved wife of Mr. Walter Kostiuk, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at the age of 89 years.

FJORDBOTTEN, Roy
April 26, 1922 – October 27, 2013
Roy Fjordbotten passed away at the Claresholm General Hospital on Sunday, October 27, 2013. He is survived by his children, Brenda (Ron) McLeod and their children Raine and Bobbie of Nanton; Paul of Okotoks and his children Brent, Robyn and Kyle and their mother Donna; Wayne of Granum and his children Scott and Ryan and their mother Suzanne; Kevin and Diane and their children Jesse and Krista of Lethbridge. Roy is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Logan, Nikayla and Koen. He was predeceased by Joyce, his wife of 55 years, in 2007. Roy was the last surviving sibling of a large family and lived a wonderful 91 years.
Roy was born and raised on the family farm near Granum, Alberta, which he farmed until his retirement. He married the love of his life, Joyce (Donahue) in 1952, and raised four children on the same family farm. He was very proud to receive the Century Farm Award from the Province of Alberta earlier this year. His second passion, behind farming, was auctioneering and he operated Roy’s Auction Service for many years across southern Alberta, holding farm, household and government auctions.
Roy’s family would like to thank the staff of the Willow Creek Continuing Care Centre in Claresholm where Roy resided for the last three years, for their excellent care and friendship to our father. To the doctors, nurses and staff at the Claresholm General Hospital, thank you for your compassionate care in Roy’s final days.
A funeral service will be held at the Granum Lutheran Church on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. with Donna Alm presiding. A private family interment, in the Granum Cemetery, took place prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations, in Roy’s memory, may be made to the charity of your choice.

JEAN CLARK 1921-2013
Her wish was granted and our mother, Jean Francis Clark passed away on October 17, 2013 at the age of 91.
She goes to join her husband of 64 years, Jack, three sons Dale, Bob, Ron and granddaughter Katherine.
She leaves behind daughters, Phyllis ( Keith) Hanna , Laurel (Ivan) Locke, daughters-in-law, Maureen and Heather Clark.
Mom was proud of her grandchildren, Glenn (Brenda), Alex (Miki), Dayle ( Marcel), Leanne, Charmaine, Rya (Mae), Erin (Chris), Gail, April, and Adam; great grandchildren, Niki, Jody, Lindsay (Lucas), Tenille, Chris, Caitlin, Zach, Sophia, Jackson, Harrison, Adrian, Tia, Ava, Ethan; and great- great grandchildren, Ryder, Callie and Emersyn.
Mom and Dad farmed south of Swift Current, until moving to Swift Current where dad did carpentry work.
Mom served on boards and committees and after we were older she worked out of the home.
She enjoyed cards, curling, and travelling to Arizona after retirement.
We all enjoyed family feasts on special occasions. We will miss our phone calls and visits with mom.
She kept life interesting and challenging.
A burial service will be held on Saturday November 2, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at Saamis Prairie View Cemetery.
Those wishing to attend please be there by 1:15 p.m.
If anyone wishes to remember mom with a gift, her choice would be your local SPCA.

KRALL
BARRY DOUGLAS JOHN KRALL passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at St. Michael’s Palliative Care Centre, on October 27, 2013 at the age of 69 years.
He is survived by his wife, Johanne (nee Liboiron) and his daughter, Karla (Shea) Patsula and two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Jordan.

RITZ
Our beloved BRIAN DALE RITZ was taken “Home” on October 28th, 2013, surrounded by his wife Debbi, his children Mike and Brandy, and loved ones.
Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his son Michael (Esther) Ritz, his daughter Brandalyn (Christopher) Van Der Leest, and his grandchildren Zachary, Levi, and Joel Ritz, and Logan and Dylan Van Der Leest.
He is also remembered by his parents Elmer and Joyce Ritz, mother-in-law Helen Gillrie, as well as many loving brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Brian was predeceased by his loving granddaughter Kaitlyn Ritz, brothers-in-law Randy, Lawrence, and Doug Gillrie, father-in-law George Gillrie and baby brother Micky Ritz.

1949 – 2013
 Simone Rosila Weiss, passed away in Calgary with her family by her side, on Monday, October 28, 2013 at the age of 64 years.

She is also survived by her siblings Vicki (Steve) Plettl of Calgary, Juanita Marthaller of Brooks, Elvena (Leonard) Kambeitz of Bow Island, Vince (Sandra) Marthaller of Taber, Lynn (Leona) Marthaller of Lethbridge, Garry (Gerri) Marthaller of Coaldale and by numerous nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues.
 She was predeceased by her parents Simon and Betty Marthaller and her sister Doreen Bradley.
 Simone was born in Taber on October 6, 1949 and spent all her life in Taber where she raised her three children. She will be remembered by her family and friends alike for her constant smile, friendly outgoing spirit and her awesome hugs. Her grandchildren brought so much joy to her life. Simone is well known for her beautiful voice and many years of service to the church, singing at Mass and numerous weddings over the years. She was very dedicated to her Catholic faith.
