AUDREY (CAPEWELL) SKIBA NEE THOMPSON
1927 ~ 2013
Audrey was born in Calgary on May 11th, 1927 and passed away peacefully in Lethbridge, December 19th, 2013 with her loving family by her side. She will be sadly missed by her special companion of 12 years, Les Dorogdi, her children K.P. (Jill) and family, Ron (Ingrid) and family, Carol (Dale) and family and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Audrey will also be missed by her siblings Dot (Cyril), Myrna (Glen), Lois (Pudge), Marlene (Les), Roy and Gerry and many nieces, nephews and step children. Audrey was pre deceased by both her husband¹s Alfred Capewell 1986 and Louis Skiba 1998, her parents Jean and Ed Thompson, her brother Vern, sister in law Gladys, stepson Dale and grandchildren Kelly Capewell and Lyle Madge. Audery loved gathering people into her life. Her greatest treasure was her family and was happiest when they were with her. NORMA AUDREY COLE (HENDRICKS) passed away peacefully at the Medicine Hat Hospital on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at the age of 74. A private family memorial to be held in Lethbridge at a later date.

HARRY LOUEY of Pincher Creek, Alberta, beloved husband of Truda Louey passed away December 20,2013 at the age of 86 years. Besides his wife Truda, Harry is survived by his sons: Darryl (Cathy) Louey and Russell (Lisa) Louey. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren as well as his sisters and brothers; Betty (Bryan) Ellingsworth, Laura Clay, Irene Gareau, Bobby (Susan) Louey and Henry Louey. A Celebration of Life will take place at The Royal Canadian Legion 691 Main St. Pincher Creek, Alberta on Monday, December 30, 2013 starting at 1:00 P.M. MRS. G. JEAN MAY, of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Leslie May, passed away at St. Michael’s Palliative Care on Friday, December 20, 2013 at the age of 95 years. Funeral arrangements will be announced after Christmas.

Travis Lee Halmrast of Warner passed away on Monday, November 25, 2013 at the age of 28 years. Travis enjoyed his life on the farm especially the hunting and he was an avid hockey player during his school days.Travis is lovingly remembered by his wife Marci; his beloved sons Mason & Ethan; his parents Dale Halmrast and Shauna Lee; sister Sammy Zeeb and Ashtin Halmrast; brother Dean Curtis as well as many extended family members.A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the VIMY RIDGE ARMOURY, 337 Stubb Ross Road, Lethbridge, AB with Padre Ken Eden, officiating. We have shared together the blessings of God. Tony Vanee passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 19, 2013 in Fort Macleod. He has left behind his loving wife of nearly 56 years Dini Vanee, their children: Linda (Theo) Grier, Darrell (Marina) Josh & Matt Grant, Brendan (Lindsay) Zachary & Zoe Grant :Bernita (George) VanderVeen, Yvonne & Anthony Prins, Melissa VanderVeen: Jackie (Tracy), Eric & Bradley Palmer: Rhonda (Barrie) Alexa, Travis & Bethany Loyst. He is also survived by special friends Manon (Peter) Vander Heyden, Dylan and Sophie de Peuter. He was predeceased by his son Robert in December 1992. Tony is survived by 10 brothers and sisters, Riek Van Driesten, John (Matty) Vanee, Janet Vanee, Harry (Lorraine) Vanee, Greta (Dirk) Beekman, Ed (Gwen) Vanee, Jeanette (Dick) Pols, Rita (Rick) Olson, Hank (Marriane) Vanee, Jim (Wendy) Vanee. Also eight brothers and sister-in-laws; Klaasje Struik, Joanne Aleman, Corrie Aleman, Bev (Dan) Fear, Anne (Evert) Tanis, Betty Dykslag, Mike (Mary) Aleman, John (Bea) Aleman. He is also survived my many nieces and nephews. Tony was predeceased by his parents Reyer (1988) and Fennetje (1995), his siblings Gerrit, Joe, and Wilma, his siblings in law Maas Van Driesten, Bill Van Driesten, Arie Struik, Casey & Jenny Aleman, Jake Aleman, Clarence Aleman, Andy Dancek, Moses & Yozina Aleman, and Eddy Dyklsag. Tony was born on May 26, 1935 in Amersfoort, Netherlands. Tony and his family emigrated from the Netherlands in 1950. For a short time they lived in Millet and moved to Southern Alberta in 1951. He worked in the beets, irrigation, construction, bridge crew and feeding cattle. His trucking aspirations started when he worked for Juris Livestock. Tony married the love of his life Dini Aleman in January of 1958. They were blessed with five children. In 1962 they moved to the Œfarm¹ where they lived until September of this year at which time they moved to Rosewood Villa. In 1979 they decided it was time to get back to the Œold country¹ for a visit. This was the beginning of their travels. Over the years they enjoyed travels to many European countries and to each of the provinces of Canada as well as all of the states in the United States. In 1960, along with his brothers Joe and John, they started Vanee Livestock. Over the next several years along with his brothers he started, bought and owned many other businesses. Tony was thankful that God blessed him with so many years of successful business relationships and he cherished the friendships that grew from these opportunities. Condolences will be held from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Monday, December 23, 2013 at Bethel Free Reformed Church in Monarch, AB. A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday December 24, 2013 at Bethel Free Reformed Church Monarch, with Pastor Eric Moerdyk Officiating. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4.
