1929 – 2014
Allan Lawrence Smith, beloved husband of Margaret Smith, passed away peacefully at the Bow Island Heath
Centre on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the age of 84 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Tribute Service at the Christian Community Church, 415 – 4 Avenue,
Burdett on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 7:30 P.M.
A private burial service will be held at the Burdett Cemetery prior to the funeral service.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Christian Community Church, 415 – 4 Avenue, Burdett  on
Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Norman Smith and Pastor Rod Taylor officiating.

ALLAN LEITH
1922 ~ 2014
We the family of Allan Leith, are saddened to announce the passing of our dear husband, father,
grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and brother-in-law.
Allan is survived by his wife Lillian, children Elaine (Darrell) Slauenwhite, Barry (Eileen),
grandchildren Michael (Joy), Jennifer (David) Hodge, Patrick (heather and his great- grandchildren Joshua
Leith, Danika, Xander and Rylee Hodge. He will be missed by his brother-in-law Ken (Eileen) Tighe and
sister-in-law Audrey Leith as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Allan was born in the Eastern Township, Quebec and came west on a threshing crew, where he met Lillian.
They married and moved to Quebec where Elaine was born and returned to Alberta a short time later where
Barry was born. He worked for Canada Land in Arrowood then the PFRA in Vauxhall. He later transitioned to
Alberta Environment as Water Master for Travers Dam, Lake McGregor and Little Bow.
His two greatest enjoyments were driving and being with his family. Most memorable was when the two were
combined travelling across Canada and to Australia. His pride and joy were his three grandchildren and
great four grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM, on March 5, 2014 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610
– 4th Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta. A private graveside service to be held at Archmount Cemetery,
Lethbridge, Alberta.

KELLY JAMES HEWLETT, beloved husband of 38 years to Linda, lost his battle to cancer on March 2, 2014 in
Lethbridge at the age of 58 years.
Kelly is survived by his loving wife and best friend Linda; son Michael; daughter Di (Lisa) Ryder;
grandson Declan James; parents Mary & James Hewlett; siblings Robert (Rhonda), Elizabeth (Jamie);
brother-in-law Greg Morton (Maxine); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Kelly was a committed CP Rail worker for 25 years, also enjoying his time at Midwest Pump for 10 years.
Kelly lived for his passion of golf and in his spare time the craft of woodworking. He will be dearly
missed as a devoted husband, loving father, loyal friend and a fun spirited Grandfather.

1937 ~ 2014
Dad was born in Gimli, Manitoba on the family farm on July 10, 1937, raised in an Icelandic speaking home
to parents Adolf and Audur Holm and passed away in Lethbridge, Alberta on Saturday, March 1, 2014.
Dad was an avid reader, always seeking knowledge, loved animals and took pride in his garden and lawn.
Roy is survived by his son Brent Holm and his children Natasha (Her son Taymin), Tianna, Amber and Ryan;
daughter Sandra (Mark) Stolte and their children Melissa, Emily, and Courtney; and daughter Sharon Holm
and her child Heather; he is also survived by his sister Sylvia Simpson and brothers Oswald and Robert
Holm.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
