DORA BOISSON
1930 ~ 2014
Dora Joan Boisson of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Marcel J. Boisson, passed away peacefully on
Thursday, March 20, 2014 at the age of 83 years.
Dora was born November 25, 1930, 2nd daughter of Anne and Conrad Simpso. She was raised on the family
farm near Weldon, Saskatchewan. In 1946, she married Marcel Boisson and together they raised 5 children
Valerie, Warren, Vaughn, Gene and Wanda. During their 54 year marriage they had many endeavors including
farming and running their cigar stores. In later life, Dora enjoyed the cabin at Lee Lake and the 5th
Wheel she and Marcel took across Canada. After Marcels passing in 2001, Dora kept herself busy with
swimming, lunches with friends, and bus trips to casinos in Lethbridge and Calgary. She will be deeply
missed by all those who loved her.
Dora is survived by her two daughters Valerie (Howard) Logan and Wanda (James) Miles; her three sons
Warren (Eddra) Boisson, Vaughn (Sheila) Boisson, and Gene (Nancy) Boisson; her grandchildren Kyle (Lily)
Crowe, Trina (Jeremy) Anderson, Merrilee (Noel) Reid, Corby (Kelcie) Urban, Shawn (Tara) Boisson, Marc
Boisson, Becca (David) Pritchard, Nicole (Chris) Oliver, Brian Boisson, Jessica (Trio) Mulli, and Troy
Boisson; 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson; and one sister Genevieve (Allan) Anderson.
Besides her loving husband Marcel Boisson, she was predeceased by her parents Anne and Conrad Simpso and
an infant daughter.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:30pm on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the LUTHERAN CHURCH OF THE
GOOD SHEPHERD, 2406- 11 Avenue South, Lethbridge with Pastor Thomas Peterson, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Michaels Palliative Care, 1400- 9th Avenue

FERN EVELYN (BRANDON) HAYES, of Lethbridge, passed away with her family at her side on Monday, April 7th,
2014 at the age of 83 years.
Fern is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Tom, two daughters, Crystal (Stan) Yuszko of Fernie,
B.C. and Leah (Kevin) Heppler of Sundre, Alta., two grandchildren, Tylee (Chad) Mariak (and their
daughter Harwyn) of Innisfail, Alta, and Nikka (Travis) Wood of Sundre, one brother, Harland (Bertha)
Brandon of Lethbridge; one sister, Gloria (Bob) Smith of Lethbridge; as well as Stan Jr. (Sadi) Yuszko,
Stephanie (Pat) Keller, George (Annette) Hayes, Howard (Kathy) Dell, and many nieces and nephews. Fern
was a woman quick to dance or laugh despite her battle with Alzheimers. She was a compassionate,
thoughtful and honourable woman who loved her family and animal companions, especially her dog Bixby. Her
love of life and people touched the lives of all those who knew her. Her quiet courage, strength of
spirit, creativity and sense of humour will be carried forward by those who knew and loved her.
Mom had many fond memories of her childhood and family growing up at Crystal Lake Ranch and playing
baseball. She worked side by side with Tom. She drove gravel trucks and had 23 mailing addresses the
first year of marriage. Proud of her Norwegian heritage she often used the phrase Uff-da. She was an
avid baker her specialty Lefsa and apple pies. She enjoyed her large garden, orchard and preserved
hundreds of quarts each year. She was especially fond of Christmas. Fern enjoyed dancing, music, crafts,
snowmobiling, camping and playing Skip-Bo. In the latter years she loved to have her daily shot of rum.
Family was very important to her as she was to them. She loved slipping her two special granddaughters
some loot. We are blessed that Dad took such loving care of Mom.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South,
Lethbridge on Saturday, April 12th, 2014 at 1:00 P.M., with Reverend Bob Wallace officiating.

Jane Dorothy MacPherson passed away peacefully on April 5, 2014 with her mother and close friends at her
side.
Jane was born in Calgary and grew up in Lethbridge, where she excelled at sports and academics. She
continued her post secondary education at the University of Alberta, graduating with distinction from the
Faculty of Law. After articling with the Court of Appeal of Alberta, she started and remained in private
practise in Edmonton. Jane devoted her legal career to giving a voice to children and youth in crisis.
She was a pioneer in the field of child intervention law. She was highly respected and renowned for her
expertise, providing mentorship and leadership to many lawyers and organizations involved with children
and youth.
Jane was humble, yet tenacious, loyal, gracious and generous, and had a zest for life. She was courageous
and inspirational. Jane loved to travel and garden, was a ferocious reader, and had many close friends
who enjoyed her spectacular culinary and hospitality skills.
Jane is predeceased by her father, Ray, and survived by her mother, Dorothy.
A Celebration of Janes Life will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Connelly-
McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 114 Street, Edmonton.
In support of the love Jane had for animals, and children and youth, donations can be made to the
Edmonton Humane Society or Edmonton Youth Emergency Shelter.
Jane will be sadly missed by all.

Robert “Bob” Hamilton Beadling, beloved husband of Marcella Beadling, passed away at the Coaldale Health
Centre at the age of 62 years, after a lengthy illness.
Bob was born, raised and educated in Lethbridge. He spent his working years as a steam engineer in and
around the Lethbridge area.
He is survived by his loving wife Marcella and three children Joseph (Joey), Becky, and Sonny Beadling;
five grandchildren, Joseph Beadling, Joelene, Salena, and their mother Courtney, Tyler Beadling Creed and
Leah Burgemeister Creed; brothers-in-law Bill (Norma) Calder, Floyd (Donna) Calder, sisters-in-law Martha
Fleming (Nick Hayes) and Debbie (Terry) Granberg; as well as Marcellas extended family. He was
predeceased by his parents Joseph and Beatrice Beadling and his grandparents Joseph and Elenore Hamilton.
A Visitation will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW

It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of our mother, SONJA WIEBE, of Lethbridge, on April
7th, 2014 at the age of 94 years. She was predeceased by her loving husband Peter, parents Andrew and
Ingrid Erickson and siblings Sigrid (Norman) Aschim, Doris Erickson and Bert (Evelyn) Erickson.
Sonja is survived by her 2 daughters; Diane (Jim) Dundass of Sherwood Park and Doreen (Allan) Bird of
Lethbridge; five grandchildren, Corey (Tanya) Dundass, Kevin (Sarah) Dundass, Kersten (Sean) Morris, Aron
(Stacey) Bird and Tyler Bird (Jessie Westers). She also leaves behind 6 great grandchildren Grace and
Jack, Matthew and Ryan, Corbin and Samuel- all who brought her great joy.
Sonja was born in Riverhurst, Saskatchewan March 28th 1920, remained there through her schooling and
worked hard on the farm. She met Peter at a dance when she was 15, married him when he was on leave from
the army in 1942 and after the war they moved to Lethbridge. She worked various jobs but Eatons was her
favorite.
After moving to Calgary in 1965, she worked at Sears. They returned to Lethbridge after retirement. Sonja
was a proud member of the Lionettes Club, Henderson Lake Golf Course and a Chartered Member of McKillop
United Church. She was a very gracious woman dedicated to caring for her family and made the best bread,
apple pies and cinnamon buns.

on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Allyn Mills Officiating.

Bruno Alec Yagos, beloved husband of the late Bertha Yagos passed away at Vista Village on Saturday,
April 5th, 2014 at the age of 91 years. Alec is survived by his two sons Bruno (Susan) Yagos of Cowley
and Dan (Cindy) Yagos of Lethbridge and one daughter Betty (Henry) Dykstra of Pincher Creek. His
grandsons John (Tara) Yagos of Lethbridge and Brian (Carrie) Yagos of Lundbreck. Grandaughters Erin
Dykstra (Clay) of Calgary and Heather (Cory) Wiebe of Medicine Hat. Great grandchildren Tyler, Nic,
Anthony, and Sarah Yagos and Olivia and Georgia Wiebe. Alec is also survived by his sister Mary Thibert
of Pincher Creek plus numerous nephews and nieces.
Alec was a wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather and through his 91 years made many
friends. He received life memberships with the Elks and Lions Clubs receiving the Lions Melvin Jones
Award and as an original chartered member of the Elks he received his 50 year pin in 2012. He was an
active member on the Hall Board for many years taking tickets or helping out where he could. Alec was
also well known as “The Rope Maker” and in his later years donated many hours of his time making ropes
for all ages at many different functions in the community. He will be greatly missed by all that knew
him.
A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 P.M., on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at St. Michaels Catholic Church,
958 Christie Avenue, Pincher Creek, AB, with Father Silvano Vargas, Celebrant.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M., on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at St. Michaels Catholic
