Clara passed away quietly into the arms of our heavenly Father on Wednesday evening April 23 2014, 3 days after her 93rd birthday.
We ask you to join in the celebration of Clara’s life with a Prayer Vigil to be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. with Alice Takacs officiating.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2405-12 Avenue South, Lethbridge on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with Father Nathan Siray, Celebrant. Immediately following will be a luncheon in the hall next to Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Interment at Mountain View Cemetery will be held later in the day with family.

Harley Lorence Kesler
March 15, 1928 – April 24, 2014
Dad was born in Lethbridge, AB, Canada to Harley Kesler and Catherine Lucy Edith Wyatt and was the middle of three children. His early educational experiences were in Diamond City. After he left the farm, he worked in Lethbridge: first as a grease monkey, then as an auto body mechanic and eventually working his way up to shop foreman. In Lethbridge he met and married our mother Audrey Jean Bissett. They were married October 17, 1949 – 65 years. Together they had 4 children. He furthered his education at the Lethbridge College and at the University of Alberta, eventually becoming Department Head of the vocational section at LCI. In addition to his various careers, he had many hobbies and passions. He loved music, camping, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, his family and his church. He is predeceased by his parents and 1 grandson. He is survived by his wife Audrey Kesler; children Carol Davis (Ron) of Garland Utah; Les Kesler (Esther) of Lethbridge; Glen Kesler (Karen) of Surrey, BC; Loralee Kesler of Whitehorse, Yukon. Also by 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, and a brother Barton Kesler (Shirley) and a sister Marian Thompson.
The family wishes to express much appreciation to all his caregivers over the past 14 months at Good Samaritan Society of Raymond and Park Meadows Village.
Friends may attend a meet the family on Monday, April 28th, 2014 at 7-8pm at Christensen Salmon Generations Funeral Home, 703 – 13 Street N, Lethbridge, and also prior to the service on Tuesday, April 29th, 2014 from 12:00 – 12:45pm at the church.
Funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm on Tuesday April 29, 2014 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Northside Chapel, 2223 – 6A Ave N, Lethbridge.
Interment to follow in the Royal View Memorial Cemetery, Lethbridge.

Jantje (Jenny) Van Hierden

With sorrow we announce that our dear mother, Oma, great Oma has exchanged time for eternity at the Claresholm General Hospital at the age of 82 years. Wife of late husband Hendrik (Hank) Van Hierden.
She is survived by her seven children Gerrit (Janet), Ria (Ray) Vanee, Nancy (Walter) VandenBroek, Henry (Shannon), Conrad (Rhonda), Harvey (Bernita), Jenny (Jake) Boot and son-in-law Frans (Sieneke) Feyter and daughter-in-law Tracey Van Hierden. She will be missed by her 39 grandchildren and 63 great- grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Riek Verburg (Holland), sisters-in-law Berta Van Esveld, Heintje Van Hierden, Henny Van Ee (all in Holland), and brothers-in-law Bill Van Santen (Fort Macleod), and Aart VandeKieft (Holland). She was predeceased by her husband Hank (2000), daughter Stiena Feyter (2012), son Rick (1996), grandchildren Gerrit (2001), Rebecca (2004) and Randy (2004).
Jantje was born in Barneveld District, Holland on November 1, 1931. She and Hank were married December 5, 1952. They immigrated to Canada in 1954 and settled in Fort Macleod. They first lived at the Wakelin Farm, purchased the Sheer dairy where they raised their family, then moved to Hill and Dale Ranch, and later settled in Fort Macleod where she resided until her passing. Mom was active in her church community and kept busy with her children and grandchildren. Her house was always open for all of us and she cherished family gatherings and celebrations.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at the Netherland Reformed Church, 2608 7 Ave, Fort Macleo, AB., with Rev. H. den Hollander officiating. Condolences will be held between 7:00-8:30 on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Eden’s Funeral Home, 2424 5th Ave Fort Macleod, AB. There will also be an opportunity to join the family for a light lunch at 1:00 Wednesday, following the burial, at the Fort Macleod Community Hall. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Jenny’s name to the A.T. Children’s Project, Box 1958, Fort Macleod, AB, T0L 0Z0 or the Canadian Diabetes Association.

MINAMIDE
SUMIYE MINAMIDE, beloved wife of the late John Minamide, peacefully passed away at Chinook Regional Hospital on April 24, 2014, at the age of 88 years.
She is the loving mother of Suni Chikako (Edward) and Diane (John). She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Timothy and Angelle.
Sumiye was a member of the Japanese Christian Fellowship and the Bridges Program, where she enjoyed socializing with people. She loved gardening, but more importantly, she delighted in sharing the results of her garden to her friends.
A celebration of Sumiye’s life will be held at the First Baptist Church, 1614 – 5 Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta on April 30 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Akiyama officiating. Refreshments to follow.
