William Ray Stevens, oldest child and only son of Owen Ray and Thelma (nee  Smith) Stevens, passed away
on Monday, May 12, 2014 at the age of 81 years.

DAVIES
PAUL GORDON DAVIES, beloved husband of the late Darlene Davies of Lethbridge, AB., passed away at home on
Sunday, May 11, 2014 at the age of 74 years.
He is the loving father of Gordon (Roxane) Davies, Richard (Josee) Davies and Gary Davies and grandfather
to Nicole, Tia and Kevin.
Paul is also survived by his sister Alice Bordyniuk, his brother Terry (Jocelyn) Davies as well as his
good friends Lou and Pat.
He was predeceased by his parents Bob and Violet “Vi” Davies and siblings Alf, Bruce, Robert Davies and
Margaret Harker.
A private Family Graveside Service will be held at a later date.

JOHN LEON THIBAULT
July 20, 1981 – May 10, 2014
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of John Thibault on May 10, 2014, in Edmonton.
John was born and raised in Lethbridge. He excelled in sciences at Winston Churchill, where he made and
charmed many friends. He completed a B.Sc. and M.Sc. at the University of Lethbridge. Always passionate
about science, John has been pursuing his PhD in medical microbiology at the University of Alberta.
In John’s too-short life, he overcame a series of serious health problems. He carried on with enthusiasm
and hope, wit and humour. It seemed that he could survive anything, and come through even stronger — a
true Man of Steel. For some, it may feel like his loss undoes a part of the world we thought we knew;
dismantles the laws of nature that applied to him.
But we want to celebrate the ways that John has touched us all. John played many different roles. He was
a loving son to Jim (Cathy) and Dereka (Bill), one-of-a-kind brother to Erin (Rob) and Ben (Kristin),
brilliant and goofy cousin and uncle, and friend and superhero to many. Best of all, John was — in his
own words — the luckiest husband having married the love of his life, Vicki (Mozgala).
A memorial service will be held at the Coast Hotel in Lethbridge, on Sunday May 18, 2014 from 2–5 pm. In
lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in John’s memory to the University of Alberta. Visit

John’s nephew, Declan, said that he wishes there were more people in the world like John. We all do.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edith Emily McRae [nee Shenton] of Pincher
Creek, AB, beloved wife of the late Gordon McRae, on Sunday, May 11.
She was predeceased by her loving and caring husband Gordon, her parents George and Alice Shenton, her
parents-in-law Wallace and Bessie McRae, brother Harold and his wife Betty, brother Cecil, brother-in-law
Bruce and grandson Chad.
She is survived by her loving children, Sheila, Ken [Karen], Chester, Lorna [Gord], Malcolm [Peggy] and
Barbara. Her memories will live on in her grandchildren and great grandchildren Cathy [Kevin, Jenny, &

LORNE LEE MILLER of Lethbridge, Ab, beloved husband of Marie Miller, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2014
at the age of 45 years at St. Michaels Palliative Care Center.
Lorne was born in Hanna, Ab on Dec. 31, 1968. His family later settled in Coaldale, Ab where he spent
most of his school years. Lorne an his wife Marie married on July 8, 1995 and resided in Lethbridge with
their 2 daughters, Kyrsten and Taylor until his tragic journey began on Jan. 26, 2014.
Besides his wife Marie, he is survived by his daughters Erica Jerebica, Kyrsten Miller, Taylor Miller,
and his son C.J. Weiler. He is also survived by his parents Keith & Marlene Miller of Coaldale, as well
as his brothers Perry (Karol) Miller and Garry (Terri Ann) Miller both of Coaldale, Roland (Jackie)
Miller of Fort St. John, B.C. and sister Candace (Rob) VanDiemen of Picture Butte as well as numerous
nieces and nephews.
Lorne was predeceased by his grandparents Lawrence & Audrey Miller and Grandpa Edwin Kravik as well as a
nephew Stephen Miller.
Family and friends are invited to pay final respects on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Martin Brothers River
view Chapel on 410 66 st S between 5:00pm and 7:00pm. A Memorial Service will be on Friday, May 16, 2014
at 2:00pm in the Chapel as well. Inurnment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

REV. DR. KENNETH MORRIS, beloved husband of Rosalind Morris, passed away in Lethbridge, Alberta on
Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the age of 81 years.
Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his children Kathryn (Richard) Brown, Sandra Morris, Derrick

ASBJORN (OZZIE) RONNINGEN, loving husband of Helga, passed away at the Edith Cavell Care Centre on
Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the age of 78 years.
He was a beloved husband, step-father and papa who will be missed by all. Love you papa.
Ozzie was predeceased by his parents, wife Diane (Renning), brothers Magnar, Oddvar and nephew Arne.
He was born on September 6, 1935 in Ringebu, Norway and was the last of three brothers.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Therese Villa and Edith Cavell Care Centre for their kind
and loving care that Ozzie received for the last two years as he struggled with dementia.
