ZELMA MCBRIDE INNES, beloved wife of the late Charles F. Innes, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2014 at the age of 90 years.
Zelma was born in Barnwell, Alberta on April 10, 1924. Her parents were Parley McBride, and Ora Geneva Day. Zelma and Charles were married 72 years ago on June 17, 1942.
Zelma is survived by their six children, Fred (Marjorie), David (Carol), Jack (Marilyn), Shirley (Sid Jones), Richard (Lorna) and Patricia (Ken Schneider).
The Funeral Service will be held at the Knight Street LDS Chapel in Raymond on Friday, June 20th, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in the Stirling Cemetery, Stirling, Alberta.
Friends may meet the family from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., prior to the Service.

MCCARTAN
JOHN PATRICK MCCARTAN, beloved husband of the late Eileen McCartan, of Lethbridge, Alberta, passed away suddenly while at work in Fort Mackay, Alberta on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at the age of 70 years.
He is the loving father of Pauline (Bill) Wong of Calgary; Jacqueline (Bill) Swann of Lethbridge; and father-in-law to Mike Kawade of Lethbridge. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren – Jessica, Cian, Zachary, Nikolas, Chloe, Naithen and Chayne.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Eileen; daughter Diane Kawade, son John George McCartan, and his parents John and Bridget McCartan.
John was born on September 22, 1943 in Glasgow Scotland, the youngest of five children born to John and Bridget McCartan. He went on to marry the love of his life, Eileen Thompson, on October 3, 1964. They went on to have three daughters and a son together. In September 1975, John immigrated to Canada, with his family following in December 1975, and after a short return to Scotland, lived and raised his family in Coaldale, Alberta, eventually moving to Lethbridge in 2010, where he resided until his passing.
John’s skills as a millwright led him to a long career with Dresser Rand in Lethbridge, and after its closing, continued with various jobs up in Fort McMurray and area. John was a proud member of the Millwrights Machinery Erectors and Maintenance Union, Local 1460, Alberta.
A Visitation will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME – 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB. on Thursday, June 19th, 2014 from 7:00 – 8:00 P.M.
A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, on Friday, June 20th, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. with Deacon Bill Young officiating.
Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

PETER JOHN MILNE
April 9, 1939 – June 14, 2014
PETER MILNE passed away into the arms of Jesus on June 14th, 2014.
Peter was predeceased by his parents, George and Amy; three sisters, Nellie, Mary and Amy, and three brothers, Alex, Bill and Les.
He is survived by his wife Carol, who loved him dearly; one daughter, Maureen of Lethbridge, who loved and admired him; one son, Dean (Adrianna) and grandchildren Tegan and Tristan of Medicine Hat, who loved him and cherished their time with him; four sisters, Teresa Leach, Betty (Murray) Leach, Helen Schappert and Hilda Milne.
His love of life and people touched the lives of all those who knew him. He touched us all and our time with him was precious. Peter was a compassionate, thoughtful and honourable man who loved his family. His quiet courage, strength of spirit, creativity and sense of humour will be carried forward by those who knew and loved him.
Peter was born in Canwood, Saskatchewan and lived there until he completed high school. From his youth to adulthood, Peter excelled at sports, particularly hockey and fastball; often playing on more than one team at a time. He began his banking career of 35 years in Prince Albert and was transferred to Calgary, where Peter met the love of his life, Carol. They were married on May 22, 1965 and were devoted to each other for 49 years. Peter’s job took them to various communities where they made many friends. After retiring from the bank, Peter and Carol had a second career owning and operating a car wash in Stettler, Alberta. After retiring in Lethbridge, Peter enjoyed many camping trips with friends and family, annual snowbird vacations to Palm Springs and spending quality time with his grandkids and kids.
A service of remembrance will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 – Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Thursday, June 19th, 2014 at 1:00 P.M.
In memory of Peter, contributions may be made to those that Peter supported; the Gideons and/or Immanuel Christian High School.

WILLIAM PAVEY “BILL” SKELTON of Lethbridge passed away peacefully at sunrise on June 15, 2014 at the age of 95 years.
Bill was born in Saskatoon and grew up in Regina. The family moved to Edmonton where Bill graduated from U of A with a BSc in Pharmacy. Bill married Eleanor Greenleese in 1943 in Edmonton and they moved to Lethbridge where Bill practiced pharmacy until retirement.
Bill is survived by sons Bob Skelton and David (Sharon) Skelton of Grand Forks, BC; daughters Marnie (John) Stanley of Lethbridge and Pat (Roger) Savage of Los Angeles; grandchildren Nyla (Cory) Free of Calgary, Terik Majid (Blynda) of Milton, Ont, Adam Skelton (Bryanne) of Calgary, Rachel Skelton of Toronto, Kristen Savage (fiancé Michael Marzouk) and Laura Savage of Los Angeles; great grandchildren Ava Free, Mya Free, Lenyn DaCosta, and Bridgette Skelton; sister Marjorie (Max) Ward and sister-in-law Vivian Storr of Edmonton as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The Pharo, Furukawa, and Stanley families were also important parts of his life. Bill was pre-deceased by his wife, Eleanor, and daughter-in-law, Pamela Skelton.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH 1614 – 5 Ave. S., with Dr. Bruce Martin, Officiating.

She was predeceased by her parents Gordon and Lillian Whitrow, son Gordon McDowell, daughter Anita McDowell, father-in-law Andrew Kosowan and step-father-in-law Philip Stratychuk.
