COLTON JAMES CROWSHOE (INNII SAAH KO MA PII) (BUFFALO BOY)
November 21st, 1995 Â July 24th, 2014
With saddened hearts, the family announces the tragic passing of Colton James Crowshoe, in Calgary, AB. He was only eighteen years old and had his whole life ahead of him. He is survived by his father Jimmy Crowshoe; mother Vivian Across The Mountain, siblings Wyatt Across The Mountain, Jasmine Crowshoe and grandmother Valerie (Ivan) Crowshoe. He will always be remembered by his long time girlfriend Brittney Black Kettle, who always had a special place in his heart. In addition, Colton is survived by his Crowshoe aunts and uncles Anne, Tanya (Hugh), Danielle, Dennis (Janet). Cousins Billy (Destiny, Jayvion, Ebony), Jordelle, Lynda (Jayda, Liam), Mackayla, Leighton, Hayley, Shade, Logan, Ila, Gary, Cadence, Keisha, Blaze and Jaze. Across The Mountain aunts and uncles Bobby, Mary Vielle, Norbert Mountain, Pam Bare Shin Bone (Children), Angel Bare Shin Bone, Roxanne First Charger (Children), and Rono Bare Shin Bone. Colton¹s predeceased by his Great-grandparents Joe and Josephine Crowshoe Sr., Lily Across The Mountain (MaryStella BareShinBone), Percy Bigsorrelhorse, Grandfather James Prairie Chicken, cousins Josie Crowshoe, Clement Wolftail, Patience Warrior and uncle Ira Crowshoe. Colton was ambitious in his education; he attended grade school at Piitoayis and middle school at Ernest Morrow in Calgary, Alberta. Colton graduated the Niipomakiiks society within 4 years along with his brother Wyatt. There, he learned his Blackfoot culture and traditions. He also graduated from Jack James High School in June 2013, where his interest in welding and auto body was ignited. His post-secondary plans were to attend SAIT and become a Welding Technician. Colton had his own way of bonding with his father and siblings whether it was baking cakes with Jasmine, playing Xbox with Wyatt or watching movies with his dad. He always carried his Xbox around with him wherever he went, and was an expert gamer. Colton¹s favourite colour was green and his favourite music group was Wu- Tang Clan. He loved being in the outdoors skateboarding or just hanging out with friends. Whether it was time spent visiting best friend, Dray Cardinal, or to Siksika; his second home. Colton loved spending time with each and every one of his friends and family, whom he loved dearly. We gather to celebrate the life of our son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin and friend to remember his easy-going, humble, kind, generous, and comical persona, as well as his respectful and considerate demeanour toward all those he loved so dearly. A private wake for close family and friends will be held at 4:00 p.m., on Sunday, August 3rd, 2014 at Snodgrass Funeral Homes, Pincher Creek, Alberta (1101 Main St.). The family cordially invites all those who knew Colton to an open wake on the afternoon of Monday, August 4th at 4 p.m. onwards at Valerie Crowshoe¹s residence, in Brocket, AB. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, August 5th, 2014 at the Brocket Community Hall. Interment to follow in Brocket Cemetery.

HELEN HEAD DAHL, wife of the late R Mark Dahl, passed away in the Raymond Hospital on July 31st, 2014 at the age of 89 after suffering a stroke. Her Funeral will be held Tuesday, August 5th, at 2:00 p.m. in the Magrath Stake Center. Friends may met the family Monday, August 4th, from 7:00-8:00 p.m. in the Stake Center and again from 1:00-1:45 p.m. prior to the Funeral. Interment in the Magrath Cemetery, Magrath, Alberta. NORAH RITA REVENKO, beloved wife of the late Peter Rovenko, of Lethbridge, passed away at the St. Michael’s Health Centre on Friday, August 1st, 2014 at the age of 103 years. Rita was the loving mother to Robert (Betty) Revenko of Saskatoon, Sask., Grandmother to Scott (Dallas) Revenko & Lori (Aaron) Ekstrom, & Great-Grandmother to Cole Revenko, Hadley Revenko, Easton Ekstrom & Tyson Ekstrom. She was also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Rita was born May 3rd, 1911, she grew up in Strasbourg, a small town in Saskatchewan. Following her early years in school, Rita began her RN training in Regina, Sask. at the Grey Nuns Hospital. Afterwards she went to Chicago to further her education and training. Subsequently, Rita’s nursing career started at the St. Michael’s Hospital in Lethbridge, AB. She married Peter Rovenko in 1942 and had one Son Robert Revenko. Rita enjoyed many handicrafts, which she also taught at the Galt Hospital. She enjoyed life to the fullest and was very friendly & outgoing. A Visitation will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Tuesday, August 5th, 2014 from 7:00 – 8:00 P.M. A Celebration of Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME – on Wednesday, August 6th, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. with Canon Allan McCuaig officiating. Interment to take place in Strasbourg, Saskatchewan. The family would like to thank all those who assisted in the care of Rita, especially St. Michael’s Health Centre & Staff as well as Suzanne Sirias, Brian & Kathy Harbidge, Carol Laycock and John & Anne Ondrus.
