FRED JOHNSON, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend passed away on October 10, 2014 in Lethbridge at age 64. He is survived by his wife, Carol (Sheen) Johnson, his daughters Coralee (Cam) Williams, Marisa (Chris) Baines, and his son Derek (Julie), along with his grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be held at the Cardston Alberta Stake Center (East Hill) on Tuesday, October 14th, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. Friends may meet the family from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. prior to the Service. Thomas ³Tom² McLaren of Camrose, formerly of Coalhurst, Alberta passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the age of 82 years.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Alice; children Debbie (Larry) Manley of Pincher Creek, Larry (Terry) McLaren of Camrose; six grandchildren; nine great- grandchildren. Tom was predeceased by his parents; and three brothers. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. from Calvary Penecostal Church (4920 48 Street, Camrose, AB) with Pastor Clayton Milgate officiating. Interment will take place on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at the Archmount Cemetery in West Lethbridge, Alberta. HELEN CHRISTENSEN THUR beloved wife of the late Reinhold Thur, passed away at the Good Samaritan¹s Society, Park Meadows Village on Friday, October 10, 2014 at the age of 94 years. Helen was born on September 14th, 1920 in Sugar City, Idaho. She was the second of 7 children born to Ezra and Violet Christensen. Helen came to Canada at the age of 5 years and spent her life in southern Alberta. She married Reinhold Thur on October 15, 1941. Together they had 7 children; David (Noreen), Louise (Wes), Richard, Marlene, (twins) Rhea and Rodney (Elizabeth) and Lyndon, who passed away January 14, 2014.Their family tree grew to 24 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and 5 great great- grandchildren. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13 Street North, Lethbridge followed by a Graveside service in the Magrath Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
