BARBOUR
MICHAEL FORREST BARBOUR, beloved husband of the late Beverly Ann Jensen Barbour, passed away in Cardston, AB on Friday, April 3, 2015 at the age of 71 years. Michael was born in Montreal, Quebec on March 30, 1944. He is survived by his brother, Matthew Barbour and step children, Chad, Amy, Kathleen & Shawn. A Graveside service will be held at the Mountain View Alberta Cemetery on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 11:00 am., with a Memorial service to follow at the Mountain View Chapel.
Sasaki
Mae Sasaki, beloved wife of 65 years to Jiro Sasaki, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015 at the age of 87 years. Funeral Arrangements to be announced when completed.
SOPER
LESLEY RICHARDS SOPER was born in Cardston on June 29, 1963 to William Jensen Richards and Kathryn Brooks. She is the eldest of four children. Lesley was raised in Aetna and attended school in Cardston, then graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelors of Management degree. She married Kevin Bradley Soper on October 27, 1990 in the Salt Lake Temple and they have four daughters, Kathryn Brooke, Jacqueline Kendall, Alexandra May, and Caroline Jensen. Lesley worked for Canada Border Services for 29 years, but her first priority was mother and homemaker. She lovingly cared for her family, home, and yard. She was an avid reader and enjoyed music and sports. She found joy in watching her husband and daughters participate in their school and community sports teams, music festivals, and concerts. She served in many volunteer callings in her church and community. She is loved and survived by her husband, daughters, and parents, sisters Jeannette (Kevin) Zemp, and Amanda (Tyler) Baker, brother Edwards (Sonja) Richards, sister-in-law Karren (Alan) Wiley, brother-in-law Corey Soper, 20 nieces and nephews, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Lesley is predeceased by her grandparents, Willard and Bernice Brooks, and Hazel and Nephi Richards, her mother-in-law, Loretta Soper, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Lesley passed away in the Calgary Foothills Hospital on April 1, 2015. Friends may meet the family at the LEGACY FUNERAL HOME on Sunday, April 5, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. or at the Church from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, CARDSTON ALBERTA STAKE CENTER (East Hill), on Monday, April 6, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Aetna Cemetery.
