MR. HENRY CONRAD ABEN, beloved husband of Mrs. Agatha Aben of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Monday, April 13, 2015 at the age of 86 years. Funeral arrangements to be announced once completed.

BURK
GWEN JANET BURK, beloved wife of Tim Burk, passed away suddenly at home on Monday, April 13, 2015 at the age of 62 years. Gwen is survived by her daughter Candice Marie (Richard) Moore of Rodley, Leeds, UK; mother Mabel Gerding; sister Reta (Dale) Pickering; mother-in-law Ruth Burk; and many extended family and dear friends. She is predeceased by her baby brother Wayne Monner, and father H. Wayne Monner. Gwen was born March 10, 1953 in Calgary, Alberta. She grew up in Milo and Lethbridge. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 12:00 noon at the EAGLES HALL, lower level, 631-13 Street North, Lethbridge.


  HELEN BURT
1938 – 2015
Mrs. Helen Burt of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Mr. Wilson Burt passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the age of 76 years.
Helen was born on June 18, 1938 to Eugene and Ida Donovan in Humphreys, New Brunswick. She was raised in Irishtown, New Brunswick and received her schooling in Moncton. In 1956 Helen was employed as an office worker in RCAF Station in Moncton where she met Wilson Burt and they were married on June 1, 1957. While in the service Wilson and Helen travelled all over Europe and Canada, settling in Alberta in 1975. She began her career as an engraver in the Red Deer Area and upon Wilson’s retirement in 1978 they moved to Lethbridge. It wasn’t long after settling in Lethbridge that Helen found work again as an engraver, working locally until her retirement. After retirement Wilson & Helen travelled extensively through the United States, Canada and into the Caribbean.
Besides her loving husband Wilson, Helen is survived by her daughter Cindy (David) Roy; son Todd Burt; grandchildren Michelle and Daniel (Amy) Roy; great-grandchildren Tala, Nic, Darius and Tobyn; siblings Shirley Chappel of Moncton, NB, Roger (Heather) Donovan of Riverview, NB, Rose (Tom) LeBlanc of Maryland, John Paul (Heather) Gallant of Moncton, NB; as well as numerous extended family members.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Gerry Donovan, Leonard Donovan, and George Donovan.
At Helen’s request a private service will be held.

DEB COOLIDGE
1958 – 2015
Deb Coolidge of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Tim Coolidge, passed away on Monday April 13, 2015, at the age of 57.
Deb loved to be active. She enjoyed her years playing slow-pitch and volleyball where she made many lifelong friends. Volunteering with Victim’s Services, Deb was able to help many in their time of need, which was something she valued and was known for. Spending time with family and friends was Deb’s favourite past time. Those that knew her will remember many camping trips to Apgar, summers by the campfire, and dinners around the kitchen table.
Deb is survived by her husband Tim Coolidge; son Michael (Nicole Tarbox) Coolidge; daughter Stephanie (Dustin) DeWitt; grandson Jayce DeWitt; sister Pay LaValley; brothers Merv (Sheila) Newinger, Ken (Joanne) Newinger; nieces Mona (Kurt) Johnson, Nicole (Ryan) Phillips; nephew Ross Newinger; brother-in-laws Richard (Cindy) Coolidge, Dave (Deb) Coolidge, Jeff (Kim) Coolidge; sister-in-law Barb (Rick) Kennedy; as well as numerous cousins and their families.
Deb is predeceased by her parents Merv and Trudy Newinger.

, of Lethbridge, formerly of Barons, beloved wife of the late “Shorty” Gordon, passed away at the St. Michael’s Health Centre – Palliative Care Unit on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the age of 82 years. Rose is the loving mother of Diane (Sheldon) Albrecht of Barons, AB and Darlene (John) Sinclair of Alliance, AB. She is also survived by grandchildren; Tracy (Jaysen) Elke, Colin (Kelli) Albrecht, Jolene (Andy) Sinclair, and Gordon (Karyn) Sinclair, great-grandchildren; Austen, Leeyah, Lexie Rose, and Angus. A Celebration of Life will be held at the BARONS SENIORS DROP-IN CENTRE – 129 Main Street, Barons, AB, on Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 1:00 – 4:00 P.M.  RONALD KEITH
1926 – 2015
Mr. Ronald Keith, beloved husband of the late Blanche Keith of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the age of 88 years.
Ron was the loving father of three children, Kevin (Patricia), Sheryl (Barry) Eccleton, and Brian. Papa was also the proud grandfather of Lauren, Ally, Daniel, Jeff, Nick, and Andrew. He is also survived by three of his fourteen siblings, Lorna, Yvonne, and Grant.
Ron was born and raised near Melville, Saskatchewan. He moved from the family farm to Lethbridge in the early 1950’s where he met and married Blanche Keith, his wife of 53 years. He spent his working career primarily with Loblaw’s and then the Lethbridge Public School Board.
Ron was a people person, and had an amazing sense of humor which always made us laugh. His grandchildren were a big part of his life, and everyone has special memories from family vacations at Christina Lake, B.C. He also loved to tinker in the garage and was known for his ability to repair almost anything.
A private family service of remembrance will be held.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the 3:00pm on Friday, April 17, 2015 at the Royal Canadian Legion General Stewart Branch, 324 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge for everyone to attend.

ELIZABETH “LIZ” PAVAN
1918 – 2015
Elizabeth “Liz” Pavan of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Louis Pavan, passed away quietly on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the age of 97.
She is survived by three daughters Jean Anne (Ted) Nemirsky of St. Albert, Marie Ward, and Audrey (Ron) King of Lethbridge; eleven grandchildren Lori, Rod, Ken and Kathy Nemirsky, Karen (Alan) McMahon, Kelly and Shanna Ward, Rick (Shawna) King, Trish (Corey) Lyons, McKinley (Charles) McTighe and Marc (Leslie) Pavan; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; daughter-in-law Rosalind Pavan; sisters-in-law Lucy Pavan and Berniece Pavan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
Liz was predeceased by her husband Louis and sons Ronald and Murray, her parents Jane and James Dow, four sisters and five brothers.
Liz lived most of her life in the Crystal Lake and Sunnyside Districts before moving to Lethbridge in 1975. She was an active member of the Lethbridge Handicraft Guild of Weavers. She wrote amazing poetry about family and friends and, in 1996, she self-published a book of her collections called “It’s About Time”.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the CENTRAL CHURCH OF CHRIST, 716 – 23 Street North, Lethbridge with Pastor Harold Cooper officiating.

1944 – 2015
Kenneth Blair McKibben, born July 16, 1944 in Taber, passed away peacefully in Medicine Hat, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, April 13, 2015 at the age of 70 years.

He is also survived by his step children Donnie, Debbie, Laurie, Tracie, Ronnie, Cindy and their families. He will be fondly remembered by his siblings Joyce (Keith) Peterson, Beth (Gerald) Ingram, Keith McKibben, sisters-in-law Marg McKibben, Jane Douglas and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Jean Mckibben, granddaughter Kortney Burge, grandson Bo McAurthur, brother Ross McKibben, brother-in-law Rick Douglas and in-laws Freida and Fred Miller.
Ken was born in Taber on July 16, 1944. Most of his working life was spent in the oil patch where he was well respected, excelled in all areas of the job, gained a wealth of knowledge and expertise and made many life long friends. When he wasn’t working, Ken spent countless hours tending to his garden and flowers which were his true passion.
