Helen Atkinson
1929 – 2015
Mrs. Helen Atkinson of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Mr. Andy Atkinson, passed away in Lethbridge on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at St. Michael’s Palliative Care.
Besides her loving husband, Helen is survived by sons Brian (Jill) Atkinson of Fredericton, NB and Bruce Atkinson of Vancouver, BC.
At Helens request, a private family graveside service will be held at a later date.

Darago, Thelma
Thelma Darago born on July 7,1920 passed away peacefully at the Inglewood Care Centre in West Vancouver, BC on August 11, 2015 at the age of 95. As a loving mother she is survived by two daughters, Eleanor Nyaradi (Bill deceased) of Calgary and Priscilla Kyllo (Steve) North Vancouver, BC, son Robert Koleszar (Maria) of Penticton, BC., siblings Irene Seline of Vancouver, Emma Suge of Taber, Alberta and Billy Gorko of Northern BC as well as six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. We wish to thank Dr Caroline Gilbert and the staff at Inglewood Lodge for their care and comfort during her final days.

Charles James
1931 – 2015
Charles James of Lethbridge, beloved husband to Patricia James, passed away suddenly in High River on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at the age of 84 years.
Besides his loving wife Pat, he is survived by three children, Doug (Donna) James of Lethbridge, grandchildren Rylan and Jace; Kathy (Dave) Fairbairn of Lethbridge, grandchildren Kaeli (Dan) New, Kelsey; John (Robin) James of Lethbridge, grandchildren Alanna, Justin, Zachary, Ashton, Alannah and Jasmine.
Born on February 13, 1931 in Lethbridge, Alberta, to Avener and Reta James, Chuck was raised and educated in Lethbridge. After attending Lethbridge Collegiate Institute, he enrolled at the University of Saskatchewan, graduating in 1952 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture.
Following in his father’s footsteps, Chuck joined Deere and Company starting as a summer student and eventually building a successful management career. While working in Peace River country, Chuck met and married his beautiful Patsy Boyd in 1954. Together they lived in various communities in western Canada, including Vernon, Prince George, Calgary, Camrose, Vermilion, Winnipeg, and finally returning to Lethbridge in the summer of 1973. Chuck went into business with Murray McKay at McKay Brothers Farm Implements until his retirement in 1992. Since then, Pat and Chuck have enjoyed a wonderful retirement golfing and travelling together.
Chuck James valued community service and found time to volunteer for various organizations including: Kinsmen, Boy Scouts of Canada, Probus (one of the founding members), the Alberta/BC Farm Implement Dealers Association, Lethbridge Air Show, Lethbridge College Foundation and Salvation Army Advisory Board. Chuck was a dedicated member of Rotary for over 40 years and a Past President of the Lethbridge Rotary East Club. Chuck was also an active, life time member of First Baptist Church. Most importantly, Chuck enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren, both in Lethbridge and Whitefish. Gpa will be greatly missed!
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, August 22. 2015 at FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, 1614 5 Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta. Cremation. An inurnment will take place in Mountain View Cemetery.

Dan Kolasko
1935 – 2015
Our Dad, Grandpa, Uncle, friend DAN KOLASKO, formerly of Del Bonita Alberta passed away at St. Michaels Palliative Care Unit on August 19, 2015 after struggling with cancer at the age of 80 years. Dan is survived by two sons, Danny Kolasko and wife Virginia of Vernon B.C. and Andrew Kolasko and sweetheart Renae Peterson of Lethbridge Alberta, and nephew Matt Gillin who was like a son to him. He also leaves his grandchildren: Adam, Kyle, Daniel, Kennedy, Steven, Samara, Samantha and Alexandra and his great-granddaughter Presley.
He was predeceased by the mother of his children Joan Ann Koshman.
Dan was born and raised on a farm in Del Bonita. He was the youngest of three children. When he was 17 he moved to enroll in the Vermillion School of Agricultural and received his Agricultural Diploma in the spring of 1954. In 1960, after 6 and half years of surveying in Lethbridge, Dan came back to his roots and began working his own farm in Del Bonita, where he lived up until 2 years ago, moving to Lethbridge to be closer for medical attention.
Dan loved his family and enjoyed visiting with them. Dan was a conscientious father and grandfather who never forgot a birthday. He was an excellent example of what it meant to work hard and do what had to be done.
A special thank you to all the nursing staff and physicians involved in the care of Dan, it is greatly appreciated.

Sandra Maria Lamb of Lethbridge passed away at Legacy Lodge in Lethbridge on July 13, 2015 at the age of 64 years.

KORTH
JEAN WOOD KORTH, nee Turnbull, beloved wife of the late Henry Korth, of Lethbridge, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the age of 88 years.
Besides her loving husband Henry, Jean is predeceased by her dear sister Jackie Egan (Bill), Beth Wesley (Fred), Kay Avery (Ken), Leona Mueller (Rome), Francis Korth (Vonnie), James Korth (Grace) Ethel & Margaret Korth as well as her loving parents Holly and Bob Turnbull and aunts Jean, Clara, Laura and Eva – her mother’s sisters.
She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins here and in the U.S.A., Scotland and Australia. Jean dearly loved each and every one.
Jean was born in Lethbridge on November 7, 1926, was raised and educated here. She worked for Canadian Pacific Railway from 1943 to 1977, the last six years in Calgary. Jean was from a railroading family – father, sister Jackie, husband Henry, maternal grandpa and paternal grandfather (Scotland) all had railroading in their blood. She was a lifetime member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church having served as an Elder, church school teacher, Cubmaster and a Girl Guide captain for the 45th I.O.D.E. She loved every minute of her time with these young folks and enjoyed watching many of them grow up, marry and have children of their own. Jean was a weaver and longtime member of the Lethbridge Handicraft Guild as well as belonging to the O.E.S. Laurel Chapter, Southern Alberta Rockhounds Association and the Alberta Pastoral Care Association, having been awarded the Alberta Pastoral Care Distinguished Service Award for the year 1992.
Jean enjoyed making things and her main hobbies were sewing, needlework of many types, keeping up family photo albums making teddy bears, reading and many other pastimes. Her home was her castle and she was never happier than when she was at home.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Hugh Jack officiating with a reception to follow. Flowers gratefully declined. In memory of Jean, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.

WILDE
BETH BETTY WILDE, beloved wife of the late Elmer Earl Wilde, passed away in Raymond on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at the age of 92 years.
She is survived by her sons: Dexter (Lourdes) Wilde, Darwin (Susan) Wilde, Cameron (Wendy) Wilde; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother Oscar Bevans; brother-in-law Warren Wilde, and sister-in-law Inez Gibb.
Betty loved quilting, embroidery, and cooking. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Friends may meet the family on Sunday, August 23, 2015 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the LDS Welling Chapel.
The Interment will be held at the Cardston Cemetery on Monday, August 24, 2015 at 9:00 a.m.
The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, WELLING CHAPEL, with Bishop Randy Wilde officiating.
