Edward Leon (Ted) Lebel
1936 – 2015
Edward Leon (Ted) LeBel of Lundbreck, AB, beloved husband of Darlene LeBel, passed away peacefully on August 25th, 2015 at the age 79 years.
Ted was born on May 24th, 1936 in Pincher Creek, Alberta to Leon and Teresa LeBel. He was raised on the family farm on the Crook Road south of Pincher Creek. He attended St. Michaels Roman Catholic School in Pincher Creek. In the early 1950’s he left school to work on the family farm. When Ted wasn’t working the family farm, any spare time he could find was spent hunting and fishing in the foothills and rocky mountains South of Pincher Creek. In May of 1958 he married Darlene Marie Callaghan, Ted and Darlene spent the 1960’s and 1970’s raising their family in the West Kootneys of B.C. and Southern Alberta. In 2004 Ted retired with his wife Darlene of 57 years to the foothills of Southern Alberta. Ted was never content to sit still. He headed the building of the family cabin at Lee Lake. Ted enjoyed being involved with several community groups.
Ted was a devout Man, who committed 2 years of intense study in order to become a professed member of the religious order of the Secular Franciscans.
Ted was pre-deceased by his son, Stanley Keith, and his brother Lionel and his parents Leon and Theresa LeBel
Ted is survived by his wife, Darlene, 2 sons, Stephen (Jo-Anne); Jesse (Marianne). Grand Children, Gordon (Esther); Lorianne (Shreyo); David (Samantha); Nicholas (Kayleigh); and Great grandson Ezekial. Ted is also survived by his sisters, Antoinette; Grace (Herbert); Leona (Ronald); and Marjorie (LeRoy)
Vigil Rights (Prayers) will be held between 7:00pm and 8:00pm, on Friday, August 28, 2015, at ST. MICHAEL’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 958 Christie Ave, Pincher Creek.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00pm, on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at ST. MICHAEL’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, with Father Silvano Vargas celebrant.

Michel Mikhail
1924 – 2015
Michel Mikhail, beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2015 at the age of 90 years.
Born on October 13, 1924 in Cairo, Egypt. He attained his B.Sc. and B.Ed. at Cairo University. He married Sophia in 1958 and lived in Port Said, where both of their sons were born. He taught science, was a high school Principal and trained in watch repair. Michel, Sophia, and their sons immigrated to Canada in 1968. Michel was employed at General Coach for 5 years, he then opened Lethbridge Watch and Repair in 1972, retiring in 1988. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodwork, league bowling, and was a gifted painter.
In joining his loving wife Sophia, he leaves behind his brother Edward and sons; Adly (Elizabeth), grandson Nicholas, Ramy (Etha), grandchildren Mandy, children Aiden and Damien, Cory, children Logan and Alexis, Jay (Camara) and daughter Rose.
A Funeral Mass will take place at 2:00pm on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at ST. BASIL’S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 604-13 Street North, Lethbridge, AB with Deacon Frank Peta, celebrant.

SHERRI LEE MATTICE
Born December 2, 1967 in Edmonton, AB, left this earth to join God the Creator on July 31, 2015. She leaves behind her mother Edna, and step-father Gary Banks. She is also survived by her precious daughter Shian Summer Mattice, 11 years of age, and husband Dale Martens.
The Metis will be hosting a gathering to celebrate her life on August 29, 2015, from 1-3pm, at 909 3rd Ave. N. In the annex directly behind the Metis office.

With sadness we announce the passing of PAUL DAVID THOMPSON in Edmonton on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at the age of 38 years.
He is the loving father of Kelti and Leini. He also leaves behind parents Bob and Ruth; sister Michelle (Patrick) Laycock; and brothers Mark (Devonee), and Bryan.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, LETHBRIDGE EAST STAKE CENTRE, 4105 Forestry Avenue South, Lethbridge, with Bishop Michael Evans officiating.
Friends may meet the family prior to the service at the church from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m.
Interment in the Royal View Cemetery, Lethbridge.
MERVIN TRAVIS “Pumpkin” VIELLE passed away suddenly in Lethbridge on August 19th, 2015 at the age of 42 years.
Mervin is survived by his mother, Marlice Vielle; stepfather Andrew Black Plume; children Angela (Dustin) Mason, Kay Jay, Nikedeus, Thadeus, Elijah, Andre, Sarah, Kaia, ; grandkids Bianca, Aries, Dante; companion Mary Bull Shields; sister Anita; brothers Marcus (Katherine) and Sonny (Tina) Vielle, Bevan White Cow, Trevor Cross Child; favorite uncle Martin (Elizabeth) Vielle; aunts Elsie Christien, Janet and Josephine Vielle, Gloria (Jack) Red Crow; great uncles Donald Big Swallow and Charlie (Betty) Crow Chief; great aunt Theresa Vielle; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and all who knew him.
Mervin’s education started with head start in Port Angeles, WA 1976 – 1977; grade one in Fall City, WA 1977 – 1978; Stand Off Day School 1979 – 1988; Fort Macleod G. R. Davis & F.P. Walsh; YMCA 1993; training LCC. He worked with his brothers in Medicine Hat but due to injuries on the work site, he couldn’t work anymore. Mervin was a shy, quiet, kind hearted guy. He like playing all kinds of sports with his brothers, cousins and friends. He enjoyed playing with grandkids, had a sense of humor, always joking around with Mom and others, loved playing his games and listening to music. The family will miss Mervin as he goes on his journey to the Spirit World.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Albert & Paula Vielle; sisters Marshalle Vielle & Josie Smith; brother Burton Lee Robinson; aunts Albert, Jackie, Rita, and Doreen Vielle; uncles Herman & Morris Vielle; cousins Larry & Kevin Vielle, Derrick & Donna Levy, Richard Christen Jr., Albert Vielle, Morris & Cheryle Knife, Edward Vielle.
A Wake Service will be held at the Old Saipoyi Gym, Blood Reserve on Friday, Aug. 28th from 7:00 p.m. continuing all night. The Funeral Service will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Blood Reserve on Saturday, Aug. 29th at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. Catherine’s Cemetery.
