BRANDLEY

CATHERINE MARIE BRANDLEY passed away peacefully at 90 years old in Raymond, Alberta on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, after living a life full of unconditional love, service and joy.

She is predeceased by her loving husband, Robert Louis Brandley, and son, James Brandley. She is lovingly missed by eight children; Diane Dunn, Becky Beazer (Heber), Susan Stanford (Frank), Sylvia Torrie (Richard), Rob Brandley (Tammy), Richard Brandley (Louise), Brenda Brandley and Bill Brandley (Melanie), thirty-five grandchildren and fifty-two great grandchildren.

There will be an opportunity to greet the family on Friday, January 22, 2016 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the LDS – Raymond Knight Street Chapel, or from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.

The Funeral Service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, KNIGHT STREET CHAPEL, 260 East 200 North, Raymond.

Interment to follow at the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond.

CHAMBERS

ALLAN LESLIE CHAMBERS, beloved husband of Joanne Chambers of Lethbridge, passed away at St. Michael’s Health Care, Palliative Care Unit on Monday January 18, 2016 at the age of 80 years.

Allan leaves behind his wife Joanne Chambers of nearly 55 years, his son Brad (Teresa) Chambers, Kelly (Melanie) Chambers, and Laurie (Gordon, and his son Daniel) Branden, and his grandchildren Brayden and Kaylee Chambers, Chelsea and Larissa Chambers, and Sadie and Madison Branden; his sister Grace (Stan) Marks, Ronnie (Renie) Chambers, and Ross (Mary) Chambers as well as many extended family, nieces and nephews and friends that will miss him dearly!

Allan was predeceased by his parents Annie and Stancil Chambers, his brother Virgil (Edith) Chambers, his sisters Pat (George) Mehalko, Sis (Frank) Stokes, Gladys (Pat) Measton.

Allan was born in Vulcan on January 21th, 1935. He was passionate about his farm and the lifestyle it offered. Allan was very active in his community in Lomond. He will lovingly be remembered by his family and friends as a man who loved to laugh and to tease. His laughter was contagious and he enjoyed so many wonderful times with his family, neighbours and friends.

Allan and his family are so grateful for the care he received from the Lethbridge Heart Function Clinic and the staff at St. Michael’s, especially the wonderful Nurses and Doctors who cared for him in the palliative unit.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation with the family at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, Sunday January 24, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 pm.

The Celebration Of Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive, South, Lethbridge on Monday January 25, 2016 at 11:00 am.

Interment to follow in the Vulcan Cemetery.

Lucile, beloved wife of the late Theron R. Nalder of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at the age of 88 years.

Lucile is survived by five sons, and five beloved daughters-in-law, Brad and Gloria of Calgary, Scott and Christine of Okotoks, Craig and Deb, Jay and Lorraine, Keith and Darcy, all of Lethbridge. She has 25 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

ROBINSON RICHARD GILBERT (DICK) 1936 – 2016

Beloved husband of 53 years to Caroline (Komm) Robinson, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Raymond, Alberta from Acute Leukemia. He is survived by his children: Heather (Bob) Shimbashi, Holly (Greg Shuh), Myrna (Todd) Purser, Richard (Leeanne Tucker), Douglas (Carmel Javos), Allan (Angela), and Nicholas as well as 18 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was a foster father to over 150 children, including Kaylene Hill, Stephanie Hunt and son Austin, Gemma (Ryan) Lynch, Nicollette Turner and son Lincoln. Oldest child of Bruce and Marion (Lyons) Robinson. His siblings include: Barbara (Jim) Appleton, and brothers Lyle (Elaine) Lloyd (Val), and Jody. He was raised on a farm in Burdett, and graduated from Bow Island High School. Richard continued his education at U of A and BYU. His teaching career lasted for over 30 years. He was a dedicated member of the LDS church in many different roles including Bishop, High Councillor, and Scout Leader. His many interests include farming, gardening, coaching basketball, genealogy, traveling, stamp collecting, and sudoku. Above all, he loved and was devoted to his wife and family. Special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at Raymond Hospital and all who supported the family with their love and kindness. The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, TAYLOR STREET CHAPEL, Highway 52 West, Raymond, on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Friends may meet the family from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. TANAKA

Following a shockingly brief battle with cancer, RICHARD “RICK” ICHIRO TANAKA passed away peacefully in the company of family on Monday, January 18, 2016 at the age of 66 years. Richard lived in Lethbridge for most of his life and worked for the roofing department of Charlton & Hill for 40 years. After retiring, he kept busy with his roof inspection business as well as his many interests: trips to Vegas with the guys, time spent with his coffee crews, golfing, charitable work or following his love of racing and soccer. Though very humble, his generosity touched family, friends and numerous charitable organizations.

Richard is survived by his wife Marlene, sons Craig and Chris (Kristina), step-son Chris (Mandi), step-daughter Leah (Karl), grandchildren Chayse, Eden, Malachai, Bailey, Eva, Eli, Morgan, Grace and Mak as well as his brother Gordon and sisters Elaine and Pat. Richard was predeceased by his first wife Rena, father Hiroshi, and mother Akiko.

The family would like to thank the health care team for their caring support, especially Doctors Ireland and Low.

Allan Ulrickson

1932 – 2016

Mr. Allan Ulrickson of Lethbridge, beloved husband of the late Teresa Ulrickson passed away peacefully at St. Therese Villa on Monday, January 18, 2016 at the age of 83 years.

Allan attended school at the University of Lethbridge, and later worked for the Alberta Provincial Government as a technologist. He was a member of the Henderson Lake Golf Club for many years, and enjoyed golfing, classical music, geology, and researching his ancestry.

Allan was predeceased by his loving wife Teresa. He is survived by sons Alex and Paul (Salina), grandsons Justin and Kane, as well as sister Eleanor Madill.

RONALD JO VANEE, of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Le-Anna Currie, passed away at the St. Michael’s Health Centre – Palliative Care Unit on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at the age of 56 years.

His greatest joy were his children: sons Jonas of Lethbridge, Justin of Fort Macleod, and daughter Jordyn of Lethbridge.

Wayne Hamilton Lindsay, 56, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones, on Sunday January 17, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife Kim, children Candace and Corey and his 4 precious grandchildren. Despite the hardships Wayne experienced, and at times it certainly seemed as though there were no shortages, he was a strong, beautiful, driven, happy man. He never ceased taking pleasure in life, his family, grandchildren and a good hockey game. No matter what curves life threw at him, he always remained a constant source of love and support for those around him. He will be missed dearly.

Katarina (Tina) Willms of Coaldale, Alberta, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at the age of 88 years.

Abram Klassen

1927 – 2016

Abe Klassen of Coaldale, AB, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday January 19, 2016 at the age of 88 years.

He was born on November 17, 1927 in Saskatchewan and in 1936 they moved to Coaldale. Abe was predeceased by his parents and siblings, his wife Mary in 1991 and second wife Audrey in 2015, as well as step daughter Sherry Wever.

He is survived by his daughter Gladys (Ron) Dyck and children Rhonda (Darcy) and Ryan (Tobi), his son Gary (Sylvia) Klassen and children Jason (Taryn), Amber (Tim), Joseph, Sylvia (Darryl), Christina (Adam), step daughters Carol (Joe) Dean, Gail Bridgewater, step son in law Jim Wever, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The Interment will be held at 12:30 pm on Monday, January 25, 2016 at the COALDALE CEMETERY, Coaldale, AB.

A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 pm at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 Street S, Lethbridge, AB.
