Mrs. Marta Allen, beloved wife of the late Del (Porky) Allen of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital, Saturday, February 20, 2016.
She is survived by her son Jason (Lisa) Jaffary and daughter Jocelyn (Cory) Horvath; grandchildren Rylee, Tayler and Teeghyn Horvath; brothers and sisters Zoltan (Malvinka) Dudas of Hungary; Elizabeth (John) Unger, Steve (Ellie) Dudas, Sandor (Irene) Dudas, John (Olga) Dudas, Bill (Brenda) Dudas, all of Lethbridge as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Hungary and Canada.
At Martha’s request, there will be no funeral service.

Janet Bouey
1928 – 2016
Mrs. Janet Bouey of Taber, beloved wife of the late Mr. John Bouey, passed away peacefully at the age of 87 years.
Janet was born on April 29, 1928 in Scotland and came to Canada as a war bride in 1946.
She leaves behind to mourn her five daughters, Carol, Connie, Cathie, Cora and Colleen whom she loved very much. Along with 9 grandchildren, 19 great- grandchildren and her sister Mary in Scotland. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, February 26, 2016 at Wrentham Community Church, with Pastor Brian Magee and Pastor Jim Chapman officiating.

Margaret Victoria Ford
1924 – 2016
Margaret Victoria Ford of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late John Jack Ford, passed away peacefully at St. Michaels Health Care Centre on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the age of 91 years.
Margaret was born in Lethbridge on June 21, 1924 to her parents Joseph and Mary Baceda. Margaret attended school in Lethbridge. She worked at various jobs to help support her family. Margaret was involved with the Royal Purple and was a very dedicated member for many years. She also loved going to the Crowsnest Pass to relax and enjoy the mountain air and surrounding views. Margaret enjoyed tending to her yard and home which she took great pride in.
Margaret is survived by her daughters Lorraine Sullivan and Bernice Eckel; sons Doug Roth and Dale (Joan) Sullivan; grandchildren Brandy Roth, Kristina and Sarah Bendick, Alayna and Daxton Berry, Rod Sullivan Jr. and Damien Roth; and brother Frank (Connie) Baceda.
Besides her loving husband Jack, Margaret was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Mary Baceda; brother John (Phyllis) Baceda; son Rod Sullivan; step-sons Donald and Dallas Roth; and granddaughter Tiffany Sullivan.
A Private Family Service will be held at a later date.

Marie Lievaart
1954 – 2016
Marie Lievaart (nee de Wit), was released from her pain to our heavenly father on Thursday, February 18, 2016. She left surrounded by her loving family at the Foothills Hospital at the age of 61 years, following a long yet inspiring fight with scleroderma.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 – 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.

Marie is survived by Dan Lievaart, her husband of thirty eight years; children Lane (Joleen) Lievaart of Coaldale, Elly (Charles) McCoy of Calgary, Simon (Jodi) Lievaart of Doon, Iowa, Annette Lievaart of Kenya and Thomas (Britney) Lievaart of Cranford as well as ten grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Alida Poort and Jean Vanderlaan; mother-in-law Geraldine Lievaart; brothers-in-law Peter (Magda) Lievaart, Hank (Linda) de Jonge and Kryn Van Oostveen; sister-in-law Trudy de Wit.
She was predeceased by her parents Hugo and Nellie de Wit; sisters Nell de Jonge and Wilhelmina Van Oostveen; brothers Case and John de Wit; brothers-in-law Richard Poort and Albert Vanderlaan; father-in-law Leen Lievaart and nephews Alex Lievaart and John Poort.
Marie was born in Woodstock, Ontario as the youngest of seven children. She completed her RN schooling at Fanshawe College and proceeded to work in the Taber Hospital from 1975 to 1977. She then married Dan Lievaart and together they raised five children on their farm north of Chin. From 2007 to 2015 she enjoyed working as a community care nurse in Taber. Her attitude in the midst of adversity along with her zest for life will continue to inspire those who had been close; to seize the day and enjoy every moment God has gifted.

JULIA FRANCES SCHILE, of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Paul Lawrence Schile, passed away at the St. Therese Villa, on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at the age of 101 years. Julia is the loving mother to sons Clarence (Bonnie) of Lethbridge and Ron (Marion) of Cochrane and daughter Sharon of Lethbridge as well as five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers George (Eleonor) and Henry (Shonnie) as well as survived by a large extended family. Julia was predeceased by her husband Paul, son DaLoyd, daughter-in-law Pat Schile, two brothers and three sisters.

VOS
JOHN WILLIAM VOS, beloved husband of the late Berna Vos of Lethbridge, passed away on February 18, 2016 at the age of 81 years surrounded by the love of his family.
John was born in Stadskanaal, Netherlands on April 6, 1934 and immigrated to Canada with his family in 1948, residing in the Nobleford area. Those close to John knew of his love for cooking and although he pursued many career paths in his life, John’s heart remained in the kitchen. He graduated from SAIT and later earned his Red Seal while working at the Bayshore Inn in Vancouver. After returning to southern Alberta he worked at the Marquis, El Rancho, and Lodge as well as working as the executive chef at Sven Eriksen’s Family Restaurant.
John and Berna married on September 21, 1968 and began building their life together. With their shared love of entertaining, their home on 15th Street was often the place to be. In 1981 John and Berna moved to High River to open their own restaurant – the Pioneer Dining Lounge – a source of pride and many great stories for the whole family. In addition to his love for his family, John greatly enjoyed travel. He made various trips to Europe with his children and grandchildren as well as numerous cruises to different parts of the world. He cherished these memories through many photographs and videos. John loved cars and spent a lot of time admiring, purchasing, fixing and selling all types of vehicles. These traits will forever be remembered by those who loved him.
John was a loving father to Joanne (Walter) Mohrmann of Coalhurst, Barry (Jodie) Vos of Lethbridge, Barb Vos (Bent Pedersen) of Lethbridge, David Vos (Cyndi Bester) of Lethbridge and Sharon Vos. John is also survived by his grandchildren Shane (Elaina), Shantel (Chris), Carlynn (Levi), Tyler, Scott, Jamie, Robbie, Tara, Dyson, Thoran, and his great-grandchildren Emily, Lucas, and Lainey. John leaves to mourn his brothers and sisters’ in-law Rita and Corny Biesbroek, Gerry Wevers, Anne and John Lubbers, Ben Wevers, Sylvia Wevers, Dick Wevers, Nellie and Elroy Nieboer, Lynne and Chuck Haines, John and Brenda Wevers, Martin Wevers, Mike and Helen Wevers, and Gerrit Dooge, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Anna and Bernard Vos, his daughter Katherine Vos, his sister Irene Dooge, his in-laws Jan and Willemina Wevers, Jackie and Allan Poole, Willy Wevers, Arie and Leida Konynenbelt, Alice Schenk, Joe Schenk, Henny Wevers, Peggy Wevers and his nephew Tom Wevers.
