Hendrik “Henk” Dunsbergen

1938 – 2016

With deep sorrow we announce the passing away of my beloved husband and our dear father, grandfather and great grandfather, Henk Dunsbergen on April 8, 2016 at the age of 78 years.

Henk was born on February 20, 1938 in Barneveld, the Netherlands. Besides his loving wife Annie, Henk is survived by his children, Bert and Karen Dunsbergen, Dicky and Gerrit vande Bruinhorst, John and Mariska Dunsbergen, Annette and Ryan Mercer, Edith and Ton Beyer, and Wilma and Henk Vander Veen, 42 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers and sister Steven and Marie Dunsbergen, Bertie vande Bruinhorst, and Wim and Hennie Dunsbergen. His inlaws Bertus and Jany Evers, Henk-Jan and Gre Evers, Maartje Evers, Cees and Hilda Evers, Dikkie and Ab van Deuveren, Grietje and Gert Ruttenberg, Dirk and Willie Evers, and Mees en Greetje Evers, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Henk was predeceased by a grandson Denis Dunsbergen, his parents Berend and Hendrika Dunsbergen, parents in law Dirk and Dirkje Evers and step mother in law Hendrika Evers, siblings Jan and Riek Dunsbergen, Riek and Mees van Maanen, Zwaantje and Henk Hey, Ditje and Dirk Pul, Barend and Eefje Dunsbergen, Gerard vande Bruinhorst and brother in law Wim Evers.

An opportunity for condolences will be held on Monday, April 11, 2016 from 7:30pm to 8:30pm at the NETHERLANDS REFORMED CONGREGATION OF PICTURE BUTTE.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at NETHERLANDS REFORMED CONGREGATION OF PICTURE BUTTE, with Rev. P. L. Bazen officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Cemetery of Picture Butte.

Flowers are gratefully declined, memorial donations may be made to the Bethesda Care Home, Box 1096, Picture Butte, AB, T0K 1V0. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Bethesda Care Home staff, Dr. Wilde, ICU, and 4C staff for the excellent care provided.

Mrs. Lorraine Kirchner of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Mr. Marvin Kirchner passed away at the Coaldale Health Care Centre on Friday, April 8, 2016 at the age of 92 years.

Joyce passed away suddenly at her home on the Blood Reserve.

She is survived by her loving children Darcy (Amy), Cory (Erica) Medicine Crane, Tara (Charles) Bird, Alvin Jr (Dusty) Medicine Crane & Aleeza Crow; 15 grandchildren; brothers Merlin & Alvin (Patti) Medicine Crane; sisters Cheryl (Lewis) Beebe, Leanne White Man Left, Michelle (Terrence) White Man Left, Jackie Russell, Heather White Man; aunties Victoria Calf Robe, Jeanette (Brian) Stevens, Gabriel (Jasper) Buckskin, Doreen Williams Freeman, Dorothy, Lorna (Kirk), Judy (Lenny) Medicine Crane; uncles Joseph (Joan) White Man Left, Max, James (Ruby), Rodney (Lorelei), Clint Medicine Crane.

A Wake Service will be at the Old Saipoyi Gym, Stand Off on Monday, April 11th from 7:00 pm continuing all night. The Funeral Mass will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Blood Reserve on Tuesday, April 12th at 11:00 am. Interment in St. Catherine’s Cemetery.
