MIKE ABRAMIC passed away at the Raymond Good Samaritans Prairie Ridge Lodge on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the age of 93 years. A Graveside Service will be held at Temple Hill Cemetery in Raymond on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.
Betty Christmas
1951 – 2016
Betty Christmas, beloved wife of the late David Christmas, passed away in Taber on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at the age of 65 years.
A celebration of Betty’s life will be held at the Taber Civic Centre, 4720 – 50 Street, Taber on Monday, July 4, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. Condolences may be forwarded by visiting our website at http://www.southlandfuneral.com.
Betty is survived by her sons David Christmas of Taber and Shane  Christmas of Lethbridge; granddaughters Mya and Carly Rose; brothers Bill (Chris) Reamsbottom of Taber, Dan (Mary) Reamsbottom of Lethbridge, Tim (Nancy) Reamsbottom of Taber, David (Kate) Reamsbottom of Medicine Hat and Terry (Sandra) Reamsbottom of Lethbridge; sister-in-law Joyce Christmas of Salmon Arm as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband David Christmas, parents Stanley and Adele Reamsbottom, father and mother-in-law Bill and Bertha Christmas and brother-in-law Eric Christmas.
Betty was born on March 17, 1951 in Taber, where she was raised and educated. Betty married David Christmas on May 19, 1979. In 1982, along with their two young sons, they moved to Taber where Betty has resided until the time of her passing.

Kenneth Stanley Gee
1922 – 2016
Mr. Ken Gee of Lethbridge passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the age of 94 years.
Ken was born in Vancouver, BC on April 13, 1922 and raised in Edmonton, AB.
He earned his B.Sc. (Chem.) and B. Ed. Degrees at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. Ken retired in 1981 after teaching chemistry and science in Calgary for 30 years.
He and Nora were married for 65 years. He is survived by their daughter Carol and sons Brian, Ron and Keith and their families.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4 St. South, Lethbridge, AB, with Canon Allan McQuaig officiating.
A private family inurnment will take place in Vernon, BC.

Kenneth Michael Bobinec
1941 – 2016
Mr. Kenneth Michael Bobinec of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Janet May Bobinec, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 24, 2016 at the age of 74 years. Besides his loving wife Janet, Ken is survived by his daughter Frances Bobinec; 2 sons Randy (Cindy) Bobinec and David Bobinec; step-daughter Lori (Jonathan) Gregory; 2 step-sons Gordon Skidmore and Larry Skidmore; his brother Lawrence (Shirley) Bobinec; as well as 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Ken is predeceased by his parents Mary and Michael Bobinec and his infant daughter Connie Mae Bobinec. Ken was born in Lethbridge at the Galt Hospital on December 17, 1941 to Michael and Mary Bobinec. Ken attended school in Lethbridge, graduating in 1962. He worked for Broder Canning and Kresge before starting his career at Purity Dairy where he continued to work in the dairy industry for 40 years, until his retirement in 2003. Ken enjoyed playing darts, fishing and camping as well as watching sports and spending time with his kids. He shared a love for gardening and his cats. After retirement, he was an avid member of Nord-Bridge Seniors Centre where he was involved in many activities including darts, floor curling, carpet bowling, and the fitness centre. Ken was also a member of the Labour Club and Miners Library. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 6:00PM and 7:00PM on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4 St. S., Lethbridge, AB. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, July 4, 2016 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, with Deacon Frank Peta officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.

MILLER
JAMES REX MILLER, of Cardston Alberta, passed away Wednesday June 29, 2016 at 95 years of age. Rex is predeceased by his beloved wife Joyce Pauline (DAVIES).
Rex and Joyce have 3 sons: John Grant deceased (Jacalyn); James Scott, deceased (Janice) and Michael Craig (Kathy). They have 17 grandchildren, 23 great- grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. Rex is a veteran of WWII where he served as a bomber flight instructor in Wolverhampton, England. It was in England that he met the love of his life, Joyce. The two were married on May 17, 1945. Upon his return to Canada, Rex worked at various jobs before settling into a life-long career as manager of Beaver Lumber in Cardston. Rex was an accomplished basketball player being a member of a provincial winning Men’s team. He was always a steadying influence on his family and taught us each to enjoy life as it unfolds. He will be greatly missed.
A Memorial service will be held on Monday July 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the East Stake Centre, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Cardston, Alberta. Interment at the Cardston Cemetery.

Jessie (Dickson) Pinches
The beloved wife of the late Gordon Pinches, passed away in Lethbridge on Wednesday, June 29, 2016. Jessie was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, the youngest of five children. She received her education there and enjoyed life with many friends. Jessie and Gordon were married in Regina and two of their children were born there. Later, they moved to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan where the other two were born. Gordon was transferred to Lethbridge in 1973 and he and Jessie enjoyed making more friends throughout their years here. She is survived by daughter Barbara (Lorne) Schwindt, Robert (Elizabeth) Pinches, George (Trish) Pinches and James (Mary-Gaye) Pinches; also by nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Cremation and a private memorial service will be held at a later date. Many thanks to all friends and to Martha’s House for their kindness.

Terence Wood
1935 – 2016
Terence Stuart Wood passed away peacefully after a short illness on 24 June 2016 at the age of 80 years, in Lethbridge, Alberta. Terry was the beloved husband and friend of Jean Wood for 40 years. Terry was born in Leeds-Yorkshire. He attended school there and in Plerne, Germany. He was in the English Army for 25 years and then did Psychiatric nursing in Salisbury. He had a son Ian and daughter Joanne, the latter of whom predeceased him. He also had three stepsons, Shaun, Mark, and Niall. Terry’s main passion was opera since the age of 7.
