BALCOVSKE

With sadness, we announce the passing of DORIS BALCOVSKE on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at the age of 92 years.

Doris was born and raised in Lethbridge, where she worked at the Bank of Montreal after high school and was the proprietor of Margo Ladies Wear through the 1950’s. She then moved on to caring for her family, enjoying her friends and serving her community. Doris lived her life with gusto, and was first in line to help out, lend a hand or offer an opinion and a hug.

Doris loved to volunteer her time and energy to a wide variety of organizations, from the Allied Arts Council to the Fort Whoop Up Interpretative Society. She was a founding member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority in Lethbridge in 1945, and a Life Member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Doris loved listening to music, watching golf, the theatre, most people and a good laugh.

Doris is survived by Sandra Balcovske (Greg Morrison) and Marcia (Don) Taylor, as well as by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Herb Balcovske, her parents, Chris and Linda Gibson, her brother Fred Gibson and niece Leah Goodman.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Chinook Regional Hospital and St. Michael’s Palliative Care for their kindness and compassion.

Funeral Service will be held at ST. AUGUSTINE’S ANGLICAN CHURCH – 411 11th Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta on Wednesday, September 21st at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow in the parish hall.

Pasquale D’Ippolito

1933 – 2016

Mr. Pasquale “Pete” D’Ippolito, beloved husband of Lilia D’Ippolito, passed away at St. Michael’s Palliative Care in Lethbridge on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the age of 83 years.

Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be held at 6:00pm on Monday, September 19, 2016 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 St. S. Lethbridge, AB.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at ST. BASIL’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 604 13 St N, Lethbridge, AB, with Father Lukas Drapal, celebrant.

MYRTLE ILEEN JACKSON, formerly of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at the Raymond Health Centre, on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at the age of 87 years.

Yee Mui “Mo” Lam

1922 – 2016

Mrs. Yee Mui “Mo” Lam of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, September 16, 2016 at the age of 94 years, beloved wife of the late Kwai Shau Lam.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 6:00pm and 8:00pm on Friday, September 23, 2016 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 St. S., Lethbridge, AB.

WILLIAMS

KENNETH JAMES WILLIAMS, of Raymond passed away peacefully on Friday, September 16, 2016 at the age of 74 years.

He is survived by his wife Ginny Williams and their son Jamie as well as her two children Tanya and Scott. He is also survived by his children Ken (Melanie), Brian (Launa), Connie (John Mountford) and Patty from his first wife JoAnne Palmer Williams.

The Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, TAYLOR STREET CHAPEL, along 4 Street West and 2 Street North, Raymond.
