ALLRED

ORLEY FRANK ALLRED, beloved husband of the late Miriam Allred, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2016 at The Good Samaritans Society – Garden Vista in Magrath, Alberta, at the age of 90 years. He is the loving father of Robin (Harry) Leeson of Stirling, and Kim (Irina) Allred of Raymond. Frank is also survived by ten grandchildren; John (Shannon) Gerard, Gaelen (Catherine) Gerard, Laurie (Andre) Zadnik, Jason Allred, Becky (Jaron) Brunson, Jennie (McKay) Steed, Cassie (Jarom) Stevenson, Dustin (Violetta) Allred, and Tony Shepherd. Besides his loving wife of 49 years, he was predeceased by a daughter Melinda Shepherd, and by his second wife Hazel Paxman. Orley lived a long, conscientious and exemplary life throughout may experiences that took him all over the world. In his older age when he slowed down, he often regaled people with his fascinating stories, but he was always concerned throughout his life with living up to the standards of God and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He lived in many places where he could not attend. If he were to be respected at all he would have wanted people to know the motivation for whatever good he may have been to others. The Funeral Service will be held at the CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Stirling Chapel, on Saturday December 31, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Bishop Jeff Nelson officiating. Friends may meet the family prior to the service at the church from 10:00- 10:45 AM. Interment in Cardston Cemetery.

ADALAIDE “BLAKELY” MARGURITE

My Lord, the baby is dead! Why, my Lord—dare I ask why? It will not hear the whisper of the wind or see the beauty of its parents’ face—it will not see the beauty of Your creation or the flame of a sunrise. Why, my Lord?

“Why, My child—do you ask ‘why’? Well, I will tell you why.

You see, the child lives. Instead of the wind she hears the sound of angels singing before My throne. Instead of the beauty that passes she sees everlasting Beauty—she sees My face. She was created and lived a short time so the image of her parents imprinted on her face may stand before Me as their personal intercessor. She knows secrets of heaven unknown to men on earth. She laughs with a special joy that only the innocent possess. My ways are not the ways of man. I create for My Kingdom and each creature fills a place in that Kingdom that could not be filled by another. She was created for My joy and her parents’ merits. She has never seen pain or sin. She has never felt hunger or pain. I breathed a soul into a seed, made it grow and called it forth.”

I am humbled before you, my Lord, for questioning Your wisdom, goodness, and love. I speak as a fool—forgive me. I acknowledge Your sovereign rights over life and death. I thank You for the life that began for so short a time to enjoy so long an Eternity.

ADALAIDE ‘BLAKELY’ MARGURITE BIRD-VOLD, our precious little angel was born sleeping on Friday December 23, 2016 at the Chinook Regional Hospital. Although Blakely didn’t spend anytime with her many loved ones here on earth, she touched many of our lives. She is the beloved daughter of Tryson Bird-Vold and Talsa Heavy Shields. Blakely will also be missed by her older half sisters, Ava and Neena; maternal grandparents, Les and Emily Heavy Shields; paternal grandparents, Stephen and LaVerne Vold and the late George (Wanda) Small Eyes and Shannon Bird; great-grandma Carol (Henry) Bird; great-grandfather Ed Heavy Shields; aunts, Bambi Heavy Shields, Arlene (Todd) Across The Mountain, Taila and Annabella Big Throat and Angie (Terry) Kemp, Rosina Vold, Mackenzie Small Eyes, Neveah, Chezney and Chanting Small Eyes; uncles, Logan (Michaela) Heavy Shields, Ken Heavy Shields, Maxwell III Big Throat, Russell (Kristy) Vold, Richard Vold, Tayshaun and Chavon Small Eyes; special grand aunties, Laverne and Clara Big Throat, Audrey (Ben) Scout, Darlene (Jim) Plume and Twylla (Lance) Little Shields; grand uncles, Cletus (Justine) Big Throat, Maxwell Big Throat and Rudy Heavy Shields as well as Darren and Kenny Small Eyes.

Blakely was predeceased by her great-grand parents Max and Annabella Big Throat and Marion Heavy Shields, Auntie Gina Marie Heavy Shields, grand uncles Clinton, Lloyd (Grace), Orville Big Throat and Murray Heavy Shields and great-grand aunt Donalda Bell.

A Graveside Service will be held at ST. CATHERINE’S CEMETERY, Blood Reserve, Alberta on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 11:00 A.M with Father Pawel Andrasz, Celebrant, where Adalaide ‘Blakely’ Margurite will be returned to her Lord and Creator.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our VIVIAN ROSE CAT FACE, beloved common-law wife of Toby Goodstriker Sr., in the Cardston Municipal Hospital on December 20th, 2016 at the tender age of 42 years. Vivian was born in Cardston, Alberta on November 29th, 1974 to the late Albert Black Plume and Alexandra Cat Face. Her adopted parents are Ray Black Plume and Jenny Low Horn; Spiritual Dad is Eugene Satterwhite. She is survived by her lovings sons – Burton (Phoenix), Brandon, Carl Jr., Will (Jessica) Singer; granddaughters Madison, Leela and one on the way; long time friend Carl Singer Sr. A Family Service will be held at Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston on Thursday, December 29th from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m The Wake Service will be held at the Senator Gladstone Hall, Blood Reserve on Thursday, December 29th from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. and continue all night at the residence of Anne Marie Cat Face. The Funeral Service will be held at the Senator Gladstone Hall on Friday, December 30th at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the Pioneer Cemetery.
