BAGLEY

PEARL MAUD CLIFTON BAGLEY passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at the age of 81. Pearl was born in Lethbridge, Alberta Canada on May 18th, 1935. She was born the fourth child to Lorraine & Ruby Clifton and preceded in death by both parents and her three siblings, Verda, George and Elmer. Pearl grew up in Coalhurst, Alberta Canada on a farm homesteaded by her parents. There, she worked with her family harvesting sugar beets, learning to cook, making homemade candy and appreciating the value of always being on time.

In addition to learning how to work hard at a young age, Pearl had natural musical talent and was often called on to sing at church and other functions. Pearl, a lifelong pianist, always made music an important part of her life enjoying the traditional sounds from her day such as the Lawrence Welk Show.

A farm girl at heart, Pearl lived on farms or ranches in Southern Alberta and British Columbia though it was the prairie that she seemed to prefer and enjoyed returning home to see her parents until their death. Later in life while raising their two teen age sons Pearl and Parley sold the ranch and moved their family to Logan, Utah. While Pearl never resided in Canada again she returned often and was a proud Canadian – often commenting on how Canadian Kentucky Fried Chicken, Chinese food and many other types of food just tasted better in Canada. Long after moving from the farm in to town Pearl continued to enjoy her flower garden, gathering fresh vegetables from the garden and canning each year during the fruit harvest. Pearl, as sweet as the homemade candy she made, was always looking to help others serving faithfully as a visiting teacher, compassionate leader and many other callings in her Ward.

Pearl is survived by her husband Parley Bagley to whom she was married for 50 years. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Cardston Alberta LDS Temple. Pearl is also survived by her two sons Gary (Briana) of Pocatello, Blaine (Vicki) of Salt Lake City along with numerous nieces and nephews. Also left to mourn her loss are 4 granddaughters and 5 great granddaughters – only raising boys what a joy her granddaughters were to her.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 13, 2017 in the Logan 13th Ward Chapel, 100 East 200 South in Logan. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street in Logan, and prior to the services on Friday morning at the church from 9:00 to 9:45 AM. Interment will take place in the Fairview, Wyoming Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at http://www.allenmortuaries.netThe family would like to express their profound appreciation for the many acts of kindness towards Pearl and Parley by their ward family, both known and unknown.
