On Thursday, January 12, 2017 in Taber, George Stephen Bajnoczi beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather, passed away with his family at his side at the age of 61 years.
George will be forever remembered by his wife and best friend Deirdre, and his children, daughter Stephanie (Jesse), son Daniel (Kristan), and daughter Jennifer (Randi), his five grandchildren, Caira, Satariah, Tayven, Ravenna, and Presley, and by his sisters and brothers Maryanne Hynes, and Cheri (Wyatt) Brown, Frank (Rhona) Bajnoczi, Mike Bajnoczi. George was predeceased by his Grandparents John Frank and Mari Bajnoczi, mother Helen and father George Sr. and two infant sons. George will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends.
A Celebration of George’s Life will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at 1:00 P.M. at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME – 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, Alberta.

Hildegard “Hilda” Pickering
1936 – 2017
Mrs. Hildegard “Hilda†Pickering of Coaldale, beloved wife of the late Alvin Pickering, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the age of 80 years.
Hilda was born December 1, 1936 in East Prussia, Germany. Facing the hardships of war, the family immigrated to Canada in 1952. Always a hard worker, she married, and with the early passing of her husband, raised two children. She worked at many jobs until her employment at Canbra Foods, later retiring for health reasons. Through the years, she volunteered for such organizations as the CNIB.
Hilda is survived by her two sons Wyatt (Dixie) Pickering & Carey (Teri) Pickering; grandchildren Andrew (Teri) Pickering and their two daughters Aaliyah & Lilith; Jason (Debbie) Pickering and son Jeramy, and Kaleigh Pickering (Pete); sister Ingrid Siegmund; brother Gunther (Pat) Siegmund.
Besides her loving husband Alvin, she was predeceased by her parents Erich & Klara Siegmund; her brother Udo Siegmund; sister Brigitte Davidson.

Doris Wichers
1939 – 2017
Mrs. Doris Wichers of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late John Wichers, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at the age of 77 years.
Doris was born in Calgary to Sven and Emma Ericksen. The family moved to Lethbridge in 1948 when Sven opened Lethbridge Caterers. John and Doris met in Lethbridge and eventually married in 1965. In 1969 they joined Sven in opening Sven Ericksen’s Family Restaurant. When John passed in 1998, Doris enjoyed having young children come through her home to see her Christmas, doll and Beanie Baby displays. Doris was extremely proud of her collections and the ability to see joy on over 5000 children’s faces. Doris was happiest with her family, her home, and garden.
Doris is survived by her children Harvey (Jo-Ann) Wichers, Brian (Stacey) Wichers, Lisa Wichers, son-in-law; Mitch Diaper, grandchildren; Lindsay (Andrew), Ashley (Jeff), Jenelle (Justin Sugimoto), Sarah, Easton, Brittany, Paige, Taylor, Ren, Conor, great-grandchildren; Kaden, Kaylee, Elias, brothers-in-law; Dennis (Barb) Wichers, Cyril (Anne) Wichers, sisters-in-law; Bev (Arie) Korver, Leida (Herman) Salomons, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
Besides her loving husband John, Doris was predeceased by her parents Sven and Emma, daughters; Carol-Ann and Tanya, as well as a brother-in-law Herman.
