Norman J. Friedrick
1950-2017
Mr. Norman James Balogh Friedrick, beloved husband of Deb Bosch-Friedrick, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the age of 67 years.
Norm was a devoted and very proud father to Ashley Fredrick (Jason) of Oliver, BC, Lauren (Chip), Kristi, and Ryan (Jill) all of Calgary, AB. Also left to grieve are his beloved grandchildren Aianna and Chayton. Norm was the ninth child of 13 and leaves to mourn his passing 7 brothers, 4 sisters and their families.
Norm was born and raised in Lethbridge. He completed high school at Winston Churchill and went on to the Lethbridge College for business. Norm worked in accounts receivable and payable until his retirement in 2013 and was also a valued employee for Elections Canada.
Norm played competitive hockey and baseball growing up and was an avid skier. He loved to hunt and fish taking his children on many adventures. Norm played slowpitch for many years in both men’s and mixed leagues and was a passionate volunteer for the Lethbridge Mixed Slowpitch Association.
Norm was a kind, thoughtful and honourable man who loved his family and took no greater joy than attending and supporting his children at all their dance recitals, sporting events and special occasions.
Norm was predeceased by his father, James St. Dennis, his mother, Rosalia Balogh, and his brother, Lloyd Fredrick.
A Celebration of Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME – 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB on Wednesday, March 1st, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.

Estelle Gross
1925 – 2017
Mrs. Estelle Marie Gross of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. Edward Gross passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday February 24, 2017 at the age of 91 years.
Estelle was born in Estevan, SK on September 26, 1925, growing up in several small towns across Southern Saskatchewan. She married Edward and moved to the Gross family farm in 1947. She continued farming after Edward’s passing in 1973, relocating to Lethbridge in 1978. In Lethbridge, she was active in the community, singing for several years with the Golden Mile Singers and the Mad Hatters. She was an avid traveler, visiting the British Isles, Spain, Mexico, Missouri, Alaska and the Maritimes. She was one of the first to move into Martha’s House, enjoying the activities and friendship until the time of her passing. She has a passion for knitting and crocheting, making dozens of afghans, dishcloths, and pot holders.
Estelle is survived by her daughter Jeanette (Ted) Hryciuk, son Norman Gross, grandchildren Edward Hryciuk, great- grandchildren Tatyana & Dominik Hryciuk, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
Besides her loving husband Edward, she was predeceased by her parents Egide Allaire & Stella Sarazin, her sisters Delores Jones and Geraldine Wainwright.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2405 12 Ave S, Lethbridge, AB, with Father Lukas Drapal, celebrant.

NOELLA HARD passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on February 22, 2017, after a brief illness at the age of 93 years.

HOUSTON
DOROTHY HOUSTON died suddenly Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the age of 75 years.
Dorothy was pre-deceased by her husband, James Houston. She leaves 3 daughters, Ashleigh (Ray) Brown, Erin Houston (Brian Moser); Sian Houston (Blair Pelly), and 4 grandchildren (Siobhan, Mackenzie, Aidan, Kale). She is survived by one brother, Roy (Maureen) Ferguson.
Born and raised in Northern Ireland, Dorothy and her family emigrated to Canada in 1971. She liked to travel, particularly down to Waterton. Dorothy loved to go to the movies and could be seen many an afternoon catching the latest flick. Until a few years ago, Dorothy was an avid walker, walking around Henderson Lake several times a day.
A Meet & Greet Reception will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 – Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Tuesday, February 28th from 11:30 A.M. – 1:30 P.M.
