TARA MAURINE TAILFEATHERS

1981 – 2017

We are saddened to share with you the passing of our courageous, oldest

daughter, Tara Tailfeathers on April 2, 2017.

Tara leaves behind her daughter Bella and her family; Lorie Tailfeathers Bracko and Bill Bracko, Dan Bracko (Carrie, Daisy & Max), Nathan Bracko (Nicole, Greta, Violet & Oscar), Jordan Tailfeathers (Ally), Maranda McLeod Saunders (David & Felix), Maria Bracko (Martyn), Jared

Tailfeathers and Sean Bracko as well as her grand-parents Virginia and Lester Tailfeathers and many aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss her

tremendously. We know that Tara was welcomed back to her Heavenly Home by her Daddy Darcy Tailfeathers, Grandma Mary Draper and many other family members who have gone before.

Tara was a kind and gentle soul who always looked for ways to help other

people. She once said, “I am motivated to be the best Mom I can be and especially the best me I can be” and we can testify that she was successful. She was the most courageous woman we know. She experienced many stumbling blocks throughout her life but always came back to tryand try again. We are so proud of her.

Tara’s spirit of love and warmth was felt when caring for and playing with Bella. The giggles, singing and dancing and the fun times will always be remembered. Bella will miss her devoted and active mom who took her biking, swimming, tobogganing and did art with her. Lorie will miss her best friend and shopping companion who was always willing to help in any way she was asked. Until we meet again she will always be missing in our lives. She has a beautiful smile, sparkling eyes and a contagious laugh that we look forward to seeing and hearing again.

For those who didn’t know her, Tara was loving, thoughtful and always smiling. Tara loved music, played multiple instruments and had a beautiful singing voice. Making music gave her a sense of peace, joy and accomplishment. She had wonderful artistic abilities that she expressed

in her paintings, drawings, hairdressing and decorating. We will all miss her amazing cake creations at birthdays and family events.

She was constantly doing things for others. She gave 365 days a year, not just on birthdays and at Christmas. We will all miss her incredible thrift store finds! She was always happy to see her family and friends; she loved each and every one of us and let us know it.

Please join us to Celebrate Tara’s life on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the Coach Hill Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (996 Strathcona Drive SW, Calgary) at 10:00am. Interment to follow in the Cardston Cemetary, Cardston, Alberta at 3:30 pm. Condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting http://www.edenbrookcemetery.ca.
