DODDS

MYRNA LOUISE DODDS, beloved wife of Alex Dodds of Lethbridge, passed away at St. Michael’s Care Centre in Lethbridge on Friday, April 14th, 2017 at the age of 78 years.

Myrna was predeceased by her mom and dad, Gustav & Louise Schatz.

She is survived by her husband, Alex; two sons, Ron & Mutita Dodds of Lethbridge and Brad & Kari Dodds of Calgary; four grandchildren, Landen, Lacey, Shay & Kiana; two sisters, Diane & Tom Bell of Medicine Hat and Connie & Lou Diede of Rapid City, South Dakota, as well as many nieces & nephews.

Mom was born and grew up on the farm at Hilda, Alberta. She later attended Medicine Hat High School. After graduation she worked for the City of Medicine Hat where she met dad. After marriage (on August 9th, 1958), they moved to Lomond, Alberta, where they operated a garage & gas station. Eventually they sold the garage and went farming at Lomond. They moved to Vulcan, Alberta in 1984 and then Lethbridge in 2015.

Myrna loved to travel and enjoyed her trips to Hemet, CA. Her love of life and people touched the lives of all those who knew her. She accomplished so much in life, including being active in community affairs and raising two children. Our time with her was marvelous.

A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME – 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB. on Saturday, April 22nd, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Stephen Reynolds officiating.

A Private Interment will be held at Mountain View Cemetery, Lethbridge.

FORSYTH

RHEA FORSYTH, passed away in Cardston on Saturday, April 15th, 2017 at the age of 95 years. She was the daughter of John James and Jennie Heap Forsyth and spent her early years on the Forsyth ranch south of Cardston. When her aging parents were no longer able to care for her needs, she moved to the Raymond Home where many people contributed to her happiness. In 2002 she moved to the Cardston Auxiliary Hospital where she was closer to family and where she also found loving caregivers. In 2011, she moved to the Cardston Lee Crest and soon found that many of her loving caregivers had moved there to work. Rhea had a delightful sense of humor, an infectious laugh, and the most beautiful brown eyes—to compliment her red hair.

She was predeceased by her parents: John (1972) and Jennie (1982), and by siblings: Donald (1963), D.R. (1997), Ava (2000), Belle (2010), Charles (2016), Woodrow (2010), LaVar (1974), infant Thomas Lorenzo (1925), and by all her in-laws, except for Thea Forsyth of Spokane area. Rhea is survived by her loving sisters: Marr Draper and Donna Purnell, both of Cardston. Rhea is loved by many and will be sorely missed.

There will be a gathering for family and friends at Legacy Funeral Home in Cardston on Friday, April 21st from 12:00 noon to 12:45 p.m. with a family graveside at the Cardston Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.

The Funeral Service will be held at the Lee Crest Good Samaritan Facility, in Cardston (989-1st St. E.), on Friday, April 21st, at 2:00 p.m.

Herman Konynenbelt

1934 – 2017

Mr. Herman Konynenbelt of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Mrs. Carol Konynenbelt passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the age of 83 years.

RUTH ESTHER LANDON, beloved wife of Ken Landon, passed away peacefully in Lethbridge, surrounded by her family, on Sunday April 16, 2017 at the age of 66.

LUTZ

ELDON LUTZ, beloved husband of Gail Lutz, passed away at Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the age of 80 years.

Besides his loving wife Gail, Eldon is survived by his children; Barbara (Dan) Cain of Shaunessy, Wade Lutz of Milk River; Grandson Jared Cain; special niece Mary Marse of Lethbridge; two sisters; Gloria Lee and Jackie Reeves as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Eldon was predeceased by his parents and eight siblings.

MURAKAMI

MARY MURAKAMI, beloved wife of George Murakami, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side at the age of 84 years in Lethbridge on Saturday, April 15th, 2017.

Predeceased by her parents, Kahichi & Yoneko Hori, brother George and son Brian. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 60 years George Murakami, brother Tokio Hori and children Carol (Garry) Pickett, and Wesley (Sheila) Murakami. Mary was a devoted Grandmother to Chiyoko, Crystal (Brent), Michelle, Jacinda, Mysha and Paytyn.

A celebration of Mary’s life will take place at Salmon and Sons Funeral Home, 433 Stubb Ross Road South (entrance to the airport), on Friday April 21st, 2017 at 1:00PM.

WHITE

GLORIA IRENE WHITE left us to go home to our Heavenly Father on the 16th of April, early Easter Sunday morning.

Gloria was born August 1st, 1936 in Thunder Bay, Ontario. In her early years she moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba. In 1955 she married Paul, and they raised 3 children: Bob, Linda, and Dianna; 13 grandchildren, and 3 greats. Early in their marriage they moved to Edmonton where they lived until the fall of 1991 and then moved to Lethbridge, Alberta. Gloria always was improving her education and took many evening classes at colleges and schools.

Funeral Services will be held on Sat, April 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, COPPERWOOD CHAPEL, 9 Keystone Terrace West, Lethbridge, with Bishop Sheldon McLachlan officiating.

1925 ~ 2017
Mrs. Jan Chu ‘Tam’ Pan (盤譚珍珠) of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at the Wing Kai Care Centre of Calgary on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the age of 92 years, beloved wife of late Yao Tong Pan (盤耀堂)
Jan was born in March 18, 1925 in Canton, China. Jan is survived by her 3 sons, 4 daughters and 5 son-in-law, Sun Tong 新桐 (Yuk Mei, Mak 麥玉媚), Sun Kwok 新國 (Jyun Ping, Mah 馬婉萍), Sun Kwong 新光 (Ceoi Ngaan, Mah 馬翠雁), Mei Oi 美愛 (Ciu Yu, Mah 馬超儒), Yuk Oi 玉愛 (Shu Yao, Wong 黃樹堯), Juan Oi 娟愛 (Siu Ban, Wong 黃韶彬), late Yu Oi 如愛 ( Kim Yan, Mah 馬錦彥), King Oi 琼愛 (Yim Nyun, Lam 林 炎暖), as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Besides her loving husband Yao Tong Pan, Jan was predeceased by her parents and daughter Yu Oi.
A Visitation will be held at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4th St. S.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4th St. S., Lethbridge, AB with Wayne Kwan, officiating. Pallbearers: Juan Ming Hall, Glen Yu, Jason Pan, Sam He, Jesse Ye, Ricky Lam
