BROWN
MARJORIE BROWN passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Monday May 29, 2017 at the age of 93 after a short illness. She leaves to mourn 6 children; Jack Nickle, Terry Nickle (Diane Pearl), Sharon (Bill) Halcro, Robert Nickle, Cathy Nickle (Lorne Lyons), and Kevin (Anabelle) Nickle; Stepson Craig (Marilyn) Waterfield, 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Vivian (Bud) Davis, 2 Sister in laws Nadine Brown & Velda Brown, and numerous nieces & nephews. Marjorie was predeceased by her daughter in law Joyce Nickle, parents Jack and Grace Brown, Brothers Howard, Morris, Stan, Bud, Bob, Eldon, and a sister Mildred. Marjorie was born on March 17 1924 in Lethbridge AB. She grew up on the farm by Raymond where she attended the OK school. She married John Nickle on November 27 1947. Mom worked at the Ritz Café and at Empress Foods until she retired in 1989. Mom liked to dance and travel. She went on trips with her kids to Disneyland, Costa Rica, Cuba, Mexico, Alaska, and many trips to Wendover. In her final years Marjorie resided at Park Meadows Good Samaritans. Special thanks to the Staff at Park Meadows Good Sams, the nursing staff on the 4th floor of LRH and the doctors from Family Medical Clinic.

CHARLES KENNIE DAVIDSON
1940-2017
As a family we are saddened to announce the sudden passing of Kennie Davidson on May 12. He was born on May 4th and raised in Mountain View, the son of Olof and Inez Davidson. His work as a chemist took him to Suffield Alberta, Denmark, Montreal, Calgary and finally to Vancouver
where he and his wife, Lolita, raised their family.
Kennie will be remembered for his love of cooking, his devotion to his Boston Terriers, his incredible knowledge of world events, past and present, and his appreciation for classical music. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his two brothers, Ted and Park. He is survived by his wife, his two sons, Jorn ( Vancouver), Erik (Kauai), his daughter Lisa
(Toronto), their families, his sister, Karen Davidson, his many relatives and friends. He loved us all and will be missed.
There will be no formal service but there will be a small gathering of family and friends at the cemetery in Mountain View later this summer to inter his ashes.

1938 – 2017
Mr. Clifford A. Theodore of Lethbridge, formerly of Coutts, AB, beloved husband of Mrs. Lottie Theodore passed away peacefully following a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the age of 78 years. Cliff was the definition of a family man; always putting his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren above himself. He loved farming and took great pride working with his family in the fields. Cliff was a devoted sports fan, coaching his children & others always ensuring everyone enjoyed the game as much as he did. Cliff was dedicated to his community, donating his time to many projects from the local Ag Society to the Community School. He had a sense of humour that was next to none always brightening the lives around him. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph & Edwina and brother Dave Theodore. Cliff leaves to mourn his loving wife of 48 years Lottie; his sons Mike (Donelda), Ken (Colleen), and Jason (Aniko); grandchildren Dwayne (Roychella), Steven(Amanda), Michelle (Serge), Bradly (Tiffany), Aiden and Emily; 9 great-grandchildren; as well as extended family. Marilyn Ann Dyck passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, surrounded by family, at the age of 55 years, beloved wife of Greg Dyck of Medicine Hat. She also leaves to cherish her memory her children, Cole (Rose) Dyck and Jayme Dyck; her parents, Ewald and Louise Reisdorf; brothers-in-law, Garry (Sandra) Dyck, Wayne (Kathy Pollock) Dyck, Clarence (Debbie) Dyck and Calvin (Linda) Dyck; sister-in-law, Brenda (Alan) Barton; nine loving nieces and nephews; two great nieces and one great nephew; her uncle and aunt, Art (Adeline) Ziegenhagel. Marilyn also had several relatives in the Reisdorf and Dyck extended families; as well as many friends who will cherish her memory. She was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Reisdorf and her in-laws, Abe and Eva Dyck.
Marilyn was born in Medicine Hat on October 5, 1961, to proud parents Ewald and Louise Reisdorf. She grew up and remained in Medicine Hat all of her life with the exception of nine years spent in the Whitla/Seven Persons area. She married the love of her life on April 26, 1980. The following years were blessed with two sons, Cole and Jayme. They were the highlight of her life and she was extremely proud to be their mother. Marilyn had a 36 year long career working her way up from Receptionist to Secretarial Supervisor of Administration Staff with Alberta Social Services. She enjoyed her career immensely and made many great and long lasting friendships there.
Marilyn loved spending time at home with her family and making sure they were always taken care of. She also loved to travel and enjoyed many trips with her husband, children and close friends. Maui was her favorite as well as the Caribbean (anywhere warm really).
Marilyn was known for her strong sense of faith, loyalty to family and friends and unwavering commitment to any project she started. She was a kind, loving and caring person who handled life with its ups and downs in her own quiet way. She exuded dignity, grace and strength always but especially in a most difficult time in her life and was admired by all who knew and loved her. She will be missed ever so much by all those lives she touched.

Mrs. Lois Louise Currie of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at Chinook Regional hospital in Lethbridge Alberta on Sunday, June 4, 2017 just days after her 90th birthday. She is survived by four sons, Myron (Pat McMillan) of Lethbridge, Loren (Maria) of Vancouver, Hal (Diana) of Okotoks, and Lyndon (Angela Tyler) of Calgary; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, her sister Margaret Gotwals of Ventura California, her sister-in-law Doreen Dannatt of Lethbridge, brother in law Bryan (Lorry) Currie of Lethbridge as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband B. Wayne Currie, her parents Fred and Gardie Dannatt, her brother Russell Dannatt, brothers-in-law Anthony Gotwals and John Brooks, and sisters-in-law Rose Dannatt, Joan Brooks, and Pauline Currie. Lois was born in Lethbridge, Alberta on May 24, 1927. She attended Garbetts Business College in Lethbridge and worked for Patterson Law Firm until her marriage in 1949. Lois had a lifelong love of music. She played piano in high school for a local dance band and continued her musical pursuits while teaching music lessons, accompanying many choirs and singing groups. She played the piano and organ at the Warner Evangelical Church every Sunday for more than 40 years. She was a very enthusiastic charter member of Southern Accord Chorus. She loved to travel, dance, play golf, and garden. If anyone ever wanted to play a game of cards or a board game she would be the first to eagerly join in. She kept a daily journal throughout her entire life starting at a very young age. Lois was an intelligent, determined, and resourceful woman with a strong sense of family and community. She had a love for the simple pleasures in life and her family was always her primary focus of love and concern. Her family wishes to thank the nurses and doctors in Lethbridge for their compassionate care during her recent stay. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy Jean Murrell (Olshaski, née Wright) on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the age of 79 years.
Dorothy was born in Lethbridge on August 11, 1937, and was the eighth child to Agnes & John Wright. The family moved to the Broxburn area in 1946.
Dorothy graduated from McNally School in 1955. She married her high school sweetheart, Bob Olshaski, on October 22, 1955. Together, they had five sons: Bob, Rod, Greg, Ken, and Doug.
Bob and Dorothy enjoyed 31 years together. A trip to Russia for the 1972 Summit Hockey Series between Canada and Russia with some close friends, Ben and Bernice Pavan and Bill and Myrna Tymensen which was a highlight, and we won. The two also enjoyed many wonderful trips with the Old Timer’s Hockey Team to many European destinations. A trip from Portugal to Morocco via hydrofoil was interesting, but scary. A train trip from Holland through many cities was fun and memorable as well.
Dorothy was a member of the Catholic Women’s League. In 1974, she entered the Nursing Program at the Lethbridge College, and graduated in 1976 with her R.N. – a lifelong dream come true – and began work at St. Michael’s and the Coaldale Hospital.
She married Alex Murrell on January 25, 1992, and together they built a new house and enjoyed many happy years travelling to Mesa, Arizona over the winter holidays. Dorothy liked bowling and golf, while she and Alex enjoyed camping with Greg & May and Ken & Millie and their families. They would also partake in watching the grandsons play hockey and soccer.
Dorothy is survived by her husband Alex of 25 years; her sons Bob (Karen), Rod (Michelle), May (Greg, deceased), Ken (Amelia), Doug (Jacquie); her grandchildren Stephen and Matthew Olshaski, Ryan and Darcy Olshaski, Larissa and Sydney Olshaski, Malia and Liam Newman; step-children Craig and Toshimi Murrell and Lynette and Jay Newman; great-grandchildren Colton, Keidon, Kinzey, Camryn, Charlee, Kade and Jaxon Olshaski and Kyla and Tyler Larkin.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Bob (1986), son Gregory (2013), daughter-in-law Lynn Olshaski (2006), her parents Agnes & John Wright, brothers David and Johnny and Francie Wright, brothers-in-law Bill Sosick, Harry Chemelli and George Kokayko, sisters Barbara Kokayko and Isabel Chemelli and sister-in-law Betty Wright. Dorothy is survived by her brothers Jim (Julie) and Tom, sisters Agnes Sosick and Diana Pederson and sister-in-law Elaine Wright.
A Prayer Vigil will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME – 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. with Maureen Condon-Horon officiating.

CORALEE PURNELL passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the age of 60 years. She is the beloved wife of Gary Purnell, mother of Chad (Shannon) Leavitt, Tyler (Becky) Leavitt, Randi (Kevin and Bobbi) Olsen, Kyle Leavitt, and Kasz (Brittany) Leavitt. She was predeceased by her daughter Randi and son Kyle. Her final moments were spent in the arms of her husband and surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she will be greatly missed. Coralee was born and raised in Cardston, AB, and was one of six children born to Dean and Thelma Quinton. She possessed a zest for life and a love and concern for all those around her. Coralee enjoyed showing her latest creations and was always looking for new ways to express her creative abilities. She was always excited to be surrounded by family and loved having the grandkids over as often as possible. She carried painful struggles until the end, but she persevered throughout. Friends may meet the family on Sunday, June 11 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the LDS – East Stake Centre, 4105 Forestry Avenue South, Lethbridge, or prior to the funeral service on Monday from 12:00 noon to 12:50 p.m. at the church. DOUGLAS ARTHUR WARD, beloved husband of Sonia Ward, of Lethbridge, AB, passed away on Thursday, June 8th, 2017 at the age of 79 years.
Doug was also survived by his children Nancy (Paul) Spitzer, Mark (Alison) Ward and Helen (Jason Negron) Cretu. Also left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren Victoria, Stephen, Zoë and Hannah as well as his sister Elizabeth “Betty” Hodder, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Doug was a kind-hearted, caring, optimistic and adventurous person. Having lived in Newfoundland, Montreal, Vancouver, BC, Istanbul, Turkey and Lethbridge, AB Doug will be missed by many friends and family members.
