EGGER

It is with intense and overwhelming sadness that we announce the very sudden and unexpected passing of DARCY MICHAEL EGGER at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the age of 55 years.

Darcy was born on November 15, 1962 in Lethbridge, AB. He was – without a doubt – the most genuine, kind, considerate and loving person in our lives. Darcy was a father, brother, son, grandfather and friend. Darcy is survived by his daughter Amanda (Ashton) Ervin, his son Josh (Sasha) Egger and his four grandchildren – the loves of his life – Carson, Graeson, Sawyer and Isabella. Darcy is survived by his parents Martha & Fred Egger and his brother Dwayne (Judy) Egger. Darcy was also blessed to have many nephews, nieces and cousins.

Darcy was in the prime of his life and met every day with excitement, joy and terrible jokes. He embraced each moment of his life and put forth great effort in anything he did. He loved his work and was very skilled as a mechanical insulator. Darcy was proud to teach his trade to his son and eagerly watched Josh follow in his footsteps. Darcy loved and was loved by many. He often spoke fondly about his dear lifelong friend Johnny, and his new love, Melanie. He had a wonderful relationship with Charlene, and seeing the two of them blossom and grow as grandparents will forever be engrained in their grandchildren’s hearts. However, not much could compare to the special bond between Darcy and his sweet dog, Hailey. Darcy will be missed immensely. The years he spent with Janice were some of his best. The laughter, the love, and happiness they shared remains a part of our family. From his laugh, to his advice about movies and music; without him, there is a massive void that can never be filled.

A Celebration of Darcy’s Life will be held at ROCKY MOUNTAIN TURF CLUB, 3RD FLOOR – 3401 Parkside Drive South, Lethbridge, AB on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 11:00 A.M.

FRITZ

Terry Joseph Fritz of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Sharron Fritz, passed away peacefully at home, with his family at his side, on December 7th, 2017 at the age of 73.

Besides his loving wife, Terry is survived by his children Karen Fritz, Marnie (Kim) Sawa, Joanne (Graham) Grant, and Allan (Lindsay) Fritz. Terry affectionately referred to his children respectively as: Fritzy, Dolly, Toad and Sunshine. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; Kristen, Kyle, Kamryn, Owen, Thomas, Clark, Oliver and Riley, as well as his sisters Marilyn (Don) McRae, Sandi Tollestrup, and his brother Ken (Elaine) Fritz, and numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Terry was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Frances Fritz, brother-in-law’s Steele Tollestrup and Conrad Grisak, sister in law’s Marcia and Alberta Grisak, and in laws George and Evelyn Grisak.

Terry was born in Lethbridge, AB on December 28, 1943. He studied at SAIT for drafting and worked for a time at Western Metal Fabricators. Later he was the owner/operator of Turin Express Ltd. After his retirement from the trucking business in 2007, he enjoyed working as part of the grounds crew at the Picture Butte Golf Course. Throughout his life he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, golfing, spending time with his family, and always scheming for the next practical joke. He and his wife Sharron recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. He will fondly be remembered by his family for imparting the “rules of life according to T Fritz”, often unsolicited but frustratingly accurate… “Life lesson #1 – Life is not a free ride”.

The family would like to thank Dr. Ikuta, Dr. Ireland, Home Care, Palliative Care and Gladium Home Support for their care and compassion.

A celebration of Terry’s life will be announced early in the New Year. Send condolences to http://www.evergreenfh.ca
