He passed away suddenly on January 10, 2018, while on vacation in Kona, Hawaii. 1945 – 2018
Judy Lea Robins of Lethbridge, formerly of Calgary, passed away at St. Michael’s Palliative Care Centre on Monday, January 22, 2018 at the age of 72 years. Judy was born and raised in Lethbridge to Helen and Chester Robins on June 14, 1945 and spent her childhood and young adult life attending LCI and Business College. Judy moved to Calgary following Business College to begin a long successful career with CIBC. She started the Cash Management group and would later retire from CIBC World Markets. In her retirement, Judy returned home to Lethbridge. She began scrapbooking, card making, she was member of the Lethbridge Historical Society, loved Waterton and had a passion for travel. She especially loved going on cruises with family and friends, bus trips, and had a memorable train trip to Churchill, Manitoba. Judy is survived by her son Chris Amundson-Bruneau and his husband Brian; sister Penny Caveny and her husband Terry; brother Dale Robins and his wife Glenda as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Judy was predeceased by her parents Helen and Chester; Uncle George Robins and his wife Bess Robins and their son Dr. Jeffrey Robins. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at ST. AUGUSTINE’S ANGLICAN CHURCH, 411 – 11th Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta. Reverend Pilar Gateman, officiating. Evelyn Odland
1939 – 2018
Evelyn Maude Odland (nee Franks), beloved wife of Allan Odland, passed away, peacefully in her sleep in Lethbridge on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at the age of 78 years, having spent the last several years battling the devastating disease of Alzheimer’s.

Evelyn is survived by Allan, her loving husband of fifty years and their daughters Tracy (John) Albiston of Coalhurst, Sherri Odland of Lethbridge, Pam (Mario) Pasquotti of Lethbridge, Laura Odland of Lethbridge and Jamie (Mike) Hanna of Olds. She is also survived by ten grandchildren Nick, Nate, Thomas, Alex, Andrew, Brooklyn, Zac, Lucas, Jeter and Megan. She is also survived by her sister Janet (Bill) Dubas, sisters-in-law Joan Franks and Elaine Franks and by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many special friends.
Besides her parents Norman & Mary Jane Franks, she was predeceased by an infant son James Michael Odland; brothers Bruce Franks and James Franks; sister Beverly White and brother-in-law Lloyd White.
Evelyn was born in Winnipeg on April 4, 1939 to Norman and Mary Jane Franks. She worked at the Manitoba Telephone Company for several years before hitchhiking across Europe. Evelyn was often admired for her beautiful auburn hair. After returning, she moved to Lethbridge where she met Allan Odland. They were married on November 4, 1967 at Knox United Church in Taber.
Allan and Evelyn farmed for many years outside of Taber. She very much enjoyed living on the farm and working in her huge vegetable garden as well as chasing the sheep. Later, she worked as a custodian for Knox United Church for eleven years. Evelyn enjoyed sewing, crochet, reading, baking, gardening in her gorgeous flower gardens and later in life, painting landscapes. She was also the leader of the New Ewe 4-H Club (sheep) for two years.
Allan and Evelyn moved to Lethbridge to be near their grandchildren in 2001. Evelyn had many friends and was active in her women’s groups including the Friendship Unit at Knox United Church as well as the Taber Christian Women’s group.
