BETTGER

MURIEL ELSIE (BORLEY) BETTGER returned to her heavenly home to be reunited with her eternal husband, Lloyd, on March 2, 2018. She was a devoted daughter of the Lord dedicated to her family and the gospel teachings of the LDS Church.

Muriel was born to Cecil and Edith Borley on March 1, 1928, in Swan River, Manitoba. She moved with her family to British Columbia where she met and fell in love with Lloyd Bettger. They were married on May 17, 1946, and they were blessed with nine children.

She loved doing all kinds of crafts and won many awards for her work. She also loved doing temple work and genealogy. Above all she loved her family and the Lord.

Muriel is survived by her children: Kitty Joan Carpenter (Brad), Fred Bettger (Carol), Nona (Marty) Allen, Tom Bettger, Susan Alston (Bill), Terry Bettger (Eileen), Chris Bettger and Don Bettger (Karen); 26 grandchildren and 61 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Bob, Wayne and Ben; and her sisters, Irene and Iris.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd, her son Robin, her son-in-law Les Allen, her parents, her sister Myrtle and brother Aubrey.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon, on Monday, March 5, 2018, at the MAGRATH GARDEN PLACE CHAPEL, 170 N, Centre Street, Magrath Alberta. Friends may greet the family from 11:00 – 11:45 a.m. that same morning. Interment will be at the Magrath Cemetery in Magrath, Alberta.

Mr. Winston Carpenter of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Mrs. Carol Carpenter, passed away at St. Therese Villa on Friday, March 2, 2018 at the age of 76 years.

STEVE TOKAI, beloved husband of Brigitta Tokai, of Picture Butte, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, March 2, 2018 at the age of 89 years. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018. A venue will be selected and further information will be announced once finalized.
