COYNE
Gerald (Gerry) Coyne, beloved husband of Julaine (Nagy) Coyne of Lethbridge, Alberta, passed away at home on August 26, 2018, at the age of 88 years old.Gerry was also the loving father of Alison (Rick) Coyne of Victoria, BC, Peter (Mary) Coyne of Picture Butte, AB, Blake (Christie) Coyne of Visalia, California, and Carrie Coyne of Lethbridge, AB. Grandfather to Luke, Kelsey, Emily, Brady and Hannah Coyne. He is also survived by his brother Leonard (Loretta) Coyne and sister LaVerne MacLaine as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Gerry was predeceased by his father, Peter, his mother, Carrie, sisters Norma, Betty, and Ruth and his brother Mel. Gerry was born on July 6, 1930 at the old Van Haarlem Hospital in Lethbridge. He grew up and lived his entire life on the family farm in the Sunnyside District of Lethbridge County. He attended both Hyssop and Hardieville Schools. Dad’s working career started at Broder farms when he was only 14. He loved to tell stories of working with the threshing crew, pitching bundles and working with the horse teams. Eventually, Gerry came to work at National Neon in Lethbridge where he learned the sign business. In 1968 he founded Nu-Glo signs with Tex Wiebe in Coaldale. Dad moved the business to Lethbridge in 1970 and operated it there until 1980. During this time he continued to farm on nights and weekends. In dad’s younger years, he played competitive baseball and fastball and he also loved hunting and fishing, but his greatest love in sport was curling. Dad curled continuously for more than 50 years. During the 1960’s and 70’s he was one of the top curlers in Southern Alberta winning countless bonspiels. Dad met mom at the Henderson Lake dance hall in 1956. They were married on September 6, 1958. Over nearly 60 years together, mom and dad endured many trials together, experienced much joy together, and blessed their family tremendously with their love and faithfulness. Dad’s quick wit and humour and his gentle spirit touched many lives. He will be missed greatly. In 2009, Dad began attending Cornerstone Community Church in Picture Butte, where he nurtured his faith in Jesus Christ — Our Saviour and our Lord.A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703 – 13 Street North, Lethbridge. Paul Thomas McCuaig
1969 – 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death in Trail, BC of our much-loved son Paul Thomas McCuaig on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at the age of 48 years.
Paul is survived by his parents Canon Allan and Muriel McCuaig, his beloved children Alexia and Chase; and their mother Colene; sister Cynthia; brother Max; godmother Sylvia Tailfeathers; partner Robyn of Trail BC; and aunts, uncles and cousins in both Canada and England.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, August 31, 2018 at ST. AUGUSTINE’S ANGLICAN CHURCH, 411 – 11 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta with Canon James Robinson, officiating assisted by Reverend Steve Bateman.

MCINROY
JERRY CARL MCINROY, beloved husband of Dawna McInroy, of Lethbridge, fought the brave battle of Cancer. He passed away peacefully at St. Michael’s PCU with his family at his side on Monday, August 27th, 2018, at the age of 57 years.
Jerry was predeceased by his grandparents, parents, and in-laws.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dawna, one son, Steven, of Lethbridge, one daughter, Krista (Ray) of Shilo, Manitoba, one grandson that was his pride and joy, Hunter, one brother, Howard (Shelly) of Langley, B.C., two sisters, Karen of Langley and Brenda (Al) Callendar of Agassiz, B.C. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces, his childhood friends, Kirk Cameron and Richard Cook. Last but not least is his dog, Mojo.
Jerry, otherwise known as Finger, was employed in the many sides of construction for over 35 years. He always did things backwards but got the job done one way or another. Jerry and Dawna were married April 18, 1998. He accomplished much in his life, including raising two children. He loved to travel and enjoyed his most recent trip to Shilo, MB (for the first time). His quiet courage, strength for life, creativity, and sense of humor will be carried forward by those who knew and loved him. His unique sense of humor was with him until the very end.
A Celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 – Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, on Friday, August 31st, at 10:30. He will then be laid to rest in Mountain View Cemetery. A time of fellowship & refreshments will follow at the family home.

MOORE
PHYLLIS MOORE (née Pharis) passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family at the St. Michael’s Health Centre – Palliative Care Unit, on Monday, August 27, 2018 at the age of 84 years.
Phyllis is survived by her husband Kenneth, children Carol (Irv) Quan, Ken (Jennifer), Keith (Lisa) and Lyle (Alecia), and grandchildren Lauren and Taylor (Erin) Quan, Mattson and Makalya Moore, Carson and Brendan Moore, and Brady Moore, as well as her brother Hilton (Alta) Pharis, sister-in-law Barb Pharis and many nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her parents Wilbur and Helen Pharis and her brother Max Pharis.
Phyllis was born in Pincher Creek on December 27th, 1933 and raised on the Elkhorn Stock Ranch by the Livingstone Range NW of Pincher Creek. Phyllis graduated from the Henderson School of Business and worked at Moskovich Law, then CJOC and CHEC Radio as a continuity writer until she retired in 1987. She was a long time member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and was an avid volunteer with many organization, especially the Lethbridge Community Bingo Association.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses in Emergency, ICU and especially unit 3C at the Chinook Regional Hospital and the staff at St. Michael’s Palliative Care Unit for their compassionate care. Special thanks to Dr. K Frick and Dr. E Wilde for their years of care.
At Phyllis’s request, no memorial service will be held. A private family function will occur at a later date.

Mike Sekura, beloved husband of Marion Sekura, passed away in Taber on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the age of 85 years, following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Mike is survived by Marion, his wife of sixty two years and their sons Brian (Tracy) Sekura of Vauxhall and Alan (Christine) Sekura of Taber; grandchildren Tyler, Brad (Robyn) Carol, Eric, Robin and Cody; great grandchildren Chason, Braylee and Mackenzie; sisters Mary Krizsan of Taber, Julie Molnar of Calgary as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mike was predeceased by his parents Mike and Katherine Sekura, son Dale Sekura, grandson Michael Sekura and sister Tresa (Joe) Revak.
Mike was born November 25, 1932 at home in the Wadena district south of Taber where he lived until his passing. He started farming with his dad, eventually purchasing the farm. He enjoyed spring time, watching the grass turn green and the calves being born; but fall was his favourite season when he could go hunting with his sons and grandsons. Mike loved riding horses and trailing calves home every year was his passion. He rode till the age of eighty three.
