HEATHER MARY BALAZS, of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Larry Balazs, passed away after a long ten year battle with cancer on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the age of 50 years.

GEORGE FREDERICK BISSETT, beloved husband of the late Vivian Bissett, passed away on August 27, 2018 at the age of 91 years. COYNE
Gerald (Gerry) Coyne, beloved husband of Julaine (Nagy) Coyne of Lethbridge, Alberta, passed away at home on August 26, 2018, at the age of 88 years old.Gerry was also the loving father of Alison (Rick) Coyne of Victoria, BC, Peter (Mary) Coyne of Picture Butte, AB, Blake (Christie) Coyne of Visalia, California, and Carrie Coyne of Lethbridge, AB. Grandfather to Luke, Kelsey, Emily, Brady and Hannah Coyne. He is also survived by his brother Leonard (Loretta) Coyne and sister LaVerne MacLaine as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Gerry was predeceased by his father, Peter, his mother, Carrie, sisters Norma, Betty, and Ruth and his brother Mel. Gerry was born on July 6, 1930 at the old Van Haarlem Hospital in Lethbridge. He grew up and lived his entire life on the family farm in the Sunnyside District of Lethbridge County. He attended both Hyssop and Hardieville Schools. Dad’s working career started at Broder farms when he was only 14. He loved to tell stories of working with the threshing crew, pitching bundles and working with the horse teams. Eventually, Gerry came to work at National Neon in Lethbridge where he learned the sign business. In 1968 he founded Nu-Glo signs with Tex Wiebe in Coaldale. Dad moved the business to Lethbridge in 1970 and operated it there until 1980. During this time he continued to farm on nights and weekends. In dad’s younger years, he played competitive baseball and fastball and he also loved hunting and fishing, but his greatest love in sport was curling. Dad curled continuously for more than 50 years. During the 1960’s and 70’s he was one of the top curlers in Southern Alberta winning countless bonspiels. Dad met mom at the Henderson Lake dance hall in 1956. They were married on September 6, 1958. Over nearly 60 years together, mom and dad endured many trials together, experienced much joy together, and blessed their family tremendously with their love and faithfulness. Dad’s quick wit and humour and his gentle spirit touched many lives. He will be missed greatly. In 2009, Dad began attending Cornerstone Community Church in Picture Butte, where he nurtured his faith in Jesus Christ — Our Saviour and our Lord.A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703 – 13 Street North, Lethbridge. HECK
CARL DANIEL “BUD” HECK, beloved husband of Margaret, of Coaldale, formerly of Hays, passed away following a brief illness and surrounded by his loving family, at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the age of 92 years.
Besides his wife Margaret, Carl is survived by his children Fay (Les), Linda (Ross), Robert (Rose), Dennis (Lorraine), Tom and special son Bob; grandchildren and great grandchildren. Carl is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Carl F. and Pearl Heck and sister Isabelle.
Bud was born in Retlaw, Alberta. Bud served with Canadian Amy from 1944-1947 and was stationed in England. When he was discharged, Bud went back to England to work. He then return home and started working as a postmaster in Vauxhall. In the spring of 1952, they started farming in Hays, Alberta, and to make ends meet, he worked at the Sugar Factory in Taber as well as the oil rigs. He retired from farming in 1994. Bud served as a counsellor for the MD of Taber for several terms. Bud and Margaret made Coaldale their forever home till his final days.
Bud was a role model, a character, wise man, comedian, farmer, family man an all around amazing man. He lived a great life spry till his final days.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB, on Friday, August 31, 2018 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
A Funeral Service will be held at the VAUXHALL MENNONITE BRETHREN CHURCH, 320 – 9 Street North, Vauxhall, AB, on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Blair Stretch officiating. Interment to follow in the Field of Honour, Vauxhall Cemetery.

LUTZ
INGRID EVELYN LUTZ passed away peacefully in Calgary on Monday, August 27th, 2018, at the age of 54 years, following a brave battle with ALS.
Ingrid was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Justin, sister Belinda, brother Andrew (Heather). She is also survived by her niece Amanda and nephews Tyson, Ethan and Nicholas, and her father, Feliz Lutz. Ingrid was predeceased by her mother Annikki Hyvärinen Lutz and her daughter Alexis.
Ingrid was born in Calgary on November 11th, 1963. She spent many years in Lethbridge before recently moving back to Calgary.
Family & friends are welcome to a visitation at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 – Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, on Friday, August 31st from 12:00 P.M. until 12:50 P.M. The Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 P.M. A time of fellowship & refreshments will follow. Interment will be held at Mountain View Cemetery at 3:15 P.M.

Paul Thomas McCuaig
1969 – 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death in Trail, BC of our much-loved son Paul Thomas McCuaig on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at the age of 48 years.
Paul is survived by his parents Canon Allan and Muriel McCuaig, his beloved children Alexia and Chase; and their mother Colene; sister Cynthia; brother Max; godmother Sylvia Tailfeathers; partner Robyn of Trail BC; and aunts, uncles and cousins in both Canada and England.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, August 31, 2018 at ST. AUGUSTINE’S ANGLICAN CHURCH, 411 – 11 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta with Canon James Robinson, officiating assisted by Reverend Steve Bateman.

MCINROY
JERRY CARL MCINROY, beloved husband of Dawna McInroy, of Lethbridge, fought the brave battle of Cancer. He passed away peacefully at St. Michael’s PCU with his family at his side on Monday, August 27th, 2018, at the age of 57 years.
Jerry was predeceased by his grandparents, parents, and in-laws.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dawna, one son, Steven, of Lethbridge, one daughter, Krista (Ray) of Shilo, Manitoba, one grandson that was his pride and joy, Hunter, one brother, Howard (Shelly) of Langley, B.C., two sisters, Karen of Langley and Brenda (Al) Callendar of Agassiz, B.C. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces, his childhood friends, Kirk Cameron and Richard Cook. Last but not least is his dog, Mojo.
Jerry, otherwise known as Finger, was employed in the many sides of construction for over 35 years. He always did things backwards but got the job done one way or another. Jerry and Dawna were married April 18, 1998. He accomplished much in his life, including raising two children. He loved to travel and enjoyed his most recent trip to Shilo, MB (for the first time). His quiet courage, strength for life, creativity, and sense of humor will be carried forward by those who knew and loved him. His unique sense of humor was with him until the very end.
A Celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 – Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, on Friday, August 31st, at 10:30. He will then be laid to rest in Mountain View Cemetery. A time of fellowship & refreshments will follow at the family home.
