Bakos, Anna (Annie) February 2, 1921 – August 23, 2018
Anna (Annie) Bakos formerly of Coaldale and Lethbridge, passed away at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary on August 23, 2018 at the wonderful age of 97. For the past 12 years she lived at Aspen Lodge where the staff made her stay feel like home. Also, Global – Senior Care provided wonderful and caring companions for Anna the last 2 years. Anna was predeceased by her husband Andrew, daughter Doreen and seven brothers and sisters. She will be missed by her daughters Peggy (Doug) Campbell, Judy (Rick) Lowcay, 5 grandchildren and 8 greatgrandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at Choice Memorial (105-4715 13th Street NE) on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 2:00 pm. GAGE CHRISTIAN GOOD RIDER
May 17, 1992 – Sept. 2, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of Gage Good Rider., son of Tom Good Rider and Marlene Heavy Runner. Gage was the youngest of the 4 boys, the baby of the family. He attended many schools in the community, including Cardston and the Blood Reserve. Gage enjoyed taking programs in the community including the Job Ready program and the beautification of the Blood Reserve. His favorite things to do were to go hunting with his brothers, taking his children to the playground, listening to music, hanging out with friends and spending time with the love of his life, Kylie.
Gage is survived by his parents Tom Good Rider & Marlene Heavy Runner; brothers Cameron (Joni) & Nathan (Shanelle); wife Kylie McHugh; children Siarra, Keeva, and baby boy Leo; nieces & nephews Jace, Hunter, Damom, Debbie, Victoria, Lyle Jr.(Kas), Phoenix and Miley. Also several Aunts, Uncles & Cousins. Gage will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He now joins his brother Lyle, numerous relatives & friends in Heaven watching over all of his loved ones; grandparents Margaret & Frank Good Rider, Grace & Lester Heavy Runner; cousins Sheldon H.R, Tara H.R, Dexter H.R, Tara Bull Shields, Raquel Chief Calf.
Celebrations as follows – A Candlelight Vigil on Friday, Sept. 7th at 7:00 p.m. in Lethbridge at the accident site. A Family Service on Monday, Sept. 10th, at 5 p.m. at the Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston followed by the Wake Service at the Moses Lake Gym from 7:00 – 11:00 p.m. The Funeral Service at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Blood Reserve on Tues. Sept. 11th at 12:00 Noon. Burial at Good Rider/Heavy Runner Cemetery, Any donations can be directed to Legacy Funeral Home; also there is a GoFundMe page on FB. HABDAS
EILEEN PATRICIA HABDAS, beloved wife of the late John Bruno Habdas, passed away surrounded by family at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at the age of 82 years.
She is the loving mother of Lorianne (Ron) Pansky and Tracy (Aurel) Beaulieu; grandchildren Kelly (Jesus) Cabrera, Janelle Pansky and Alexis Beaulieu; and great-grandchildren Diego Cabrera and Alista Hackney, all of Lethbridge. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Donna Watson, Karen Watson, Annie (Jerry) Fisher, Elsie Stevulak and Mary Habdas. She will also be missed by numerous nieces and nephews.
Eileen was predeceased by her parents Agnes (Billy) Theissing, brothers Doug Watson, Adair Watson, Kenny Watson and brothers-in-law Cobbler Habdas and Johnny Stevulak.
Eileen was born July 7, 1936 in Lethbridge, where she was also raised. She touched the lives of many during her nursing career and was known as the neighbourhood nurse. She graduated from the St. Michael’s School of Nursing in 1957 and retired in 1996 at the age of 60. Her favourite hobbies were ceramics, petit point, sewing and knitting. She displayed her amazing talents at many craft sales. Her grandchildren were the love of her life and she will always be remembered for her unselfish, giving nature. She was so proud to have met her great-grandson.
A Prayer Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB, on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 7:00 P.M. with Deacon Frank Peta officiating.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. BASIL’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 604 – 13 Street North, Lethbridge, AB, on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Kevin Tumback celebrating.
Following the Mass, Eileen will be laid to rest in Mountain View Cemetery.

Robert James Pich
1940 – 2018
Mr. Robert James Pich of Lethbridge, beloved partner of Helen Banville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at the age of 78 years.
Robert was born in Sherridon, Manitoba on May 23, 1940 to Samuel and Helen Pich. He last worked at Time Air. Robert’s many hobbies included model airplanes, where he enjoyed building and flying them. Robert was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion, and the Windy West Flying Club.
Robert is survived by his loving partner, Helen Banville.

Rose Marie Urban

Mrs. Rose Marie Urban of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. Charles Urban passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the age of 83 years.
Rose had a passion for playing the piano by ear for everyone’s enjoyment.
She is predeceased by her parents John and Barbara Gelleny, sisters Julianne (Steve), Margaret (Bob), and brothers Roy, John (Elsie), Tom and Frank.
Left to mourn are her sisters-in-law Connie Gelleny and Vivian Gelleny, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

WOOD
JERI (MARY GERALDINE) WOOD, beloved wife of Jim Wood, passed away peacefully in Lethbridge on August 31, 2018 at the age of 85 years. Jeri was born September 16, 1932 in Raymond Alberta to Jack and Idale (Lund) Kenney.
Jeri will be dearly missed by her husband Jim, and her 2 children: Cheryl (Bob) Bullock and Kenney (Julie) Wood. She will be lovingly remembered by her 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Jeri spent most of her childhood in Raymond and made many lifelong friends there. After high school she attended the LDS Business College in Salt Lake City, Utah and resided in the Beehive House. She worked in Idaho Falls for a time and then moved back to Alberta where she worked in Raymond, Cardston and then Edmonton as a Telephone Operator. In 1959 she met Jim Wood on a blind date and married later that year on September 18, 1959 in the Cardston Alberta Temple.
One year later their daughter Cheryl Lynn was born and then 3 years later, James Kenney. They moved to Lethbridge in 1965 and lived in the same home for 53 years. Jeri worked at the Lethbridge Jr. College for over 25 years and really enjoyed working with the people there. She served faithfully in many callings for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served with her husband Jim in the Cardston Temple for over 10 years.
She took great pleasure in knitting, cross stitching, chocolate making, shopping and was her grandchildren’s #1 sports fan, and if her grandchildren weren’t playing, you could still find her and Jim watching some game, somewhere.
“Gammy” as her grandchildren affectionately called her and as everyone else came to know her by, found her greatest joy being with, loving and supporting her family in all they did.
A Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, FORESTRY AVE CHAPEL, 4105 Forestry Ave S, Lethbridge, at 1:00pm Saturday, September 8, 2018.
Friends are welcome to meet with the family on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 7:00 to 8:00pm at SALMON AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, 433 Stubb Ross Road South (entrance to the airport) or prior to the service from 12:00 to 12:45pm at the church. The interment will take place at 9:00am Saturday morning in the Cardston Cemetery.
