Louise Allert

1919 – 2019

Mrs. Louise Allert of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. Henry Allert, passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior and with her family by her side at Fairmont Extendicare on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the age of 99 years. Louise is survived by four daughters, Dora (Duane) Climenhaga, Elvira (Dave) Hendricks, Linda (Sig) Schmold, Myrna (Susan Grohs) Allert; one son Walter (Vivian) Allert; eleven grandchildren Jason (Kelly) Pocza, Ryan Pocza, Michael Hendricks, Allison (Craig) Burkart, Greg (Sarah) Hendricks, Robert (Michelle) Allert, Deanne (Chad) Allert-Gile, Naomi (Craig Corbett) Schmold, Paul Schmold, Bryan (Tannis) Klassen and Jeffrey (Danny Ross) Klassen; seventeen great-grandchildren, one sister, and four brothers. Louise was predeceased by her husband Henry, daughter in law Kathy, and seven siblings. Special thanks to Dr. Majiet, and Fairmont Extendicare for the exceptional care she received. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, June 21, 2019 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 STREET SOUTH, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Pastor Abe Block, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully accepted to MCC Alberta, 2946, 32 Street NE, Calgary, Alberta T1Y 6J7, Gideons International, 501 Imperial Road North, Guelph, Ontario N1H 7A2, or to a charity of one’s choice.


Anne Atkinson

1927 – 2019

With great sadness and hearts full of love, the family of Anne Patricia Atkinson announce her sudden passing in her Lethbridge home at the age of 92. Anne was born on February 22, 1927 in Lethbridge, Alberta and joined her predeceased husband Gordon Franklin Atkinson, in heaven on June 10, 2019. Anne’s family would be honored by your presence to celebrate her life at 2:00pm on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at the SANDMAN SIGNATURE HOTEL AND CONFERENCE CENTRE (Formerly Lethbridge Lodge), 320 Scenic Drive South, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Reverend Glenda Wert, officiating. No matter where she served her guests, they seemed to like her kitchen best.

LENGYEL

With sadness we announce the peaceful passing of LYNNE ELAINE LENGYEL at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Monday, June 17, 2019. Born in Lethbridge, AB on August 11, 1938 to John and Elaine (née McIlvena) Shaw.

Beside her parents, Lynne was predeceased by her husband John in 2001.

Left with fond and precious memories are her children Pat (Larry) Wagner, Mona Lengyel, Chris (Kelly Emelson) Lengyel, grandchildren Jesse Lengyel, Troy Hoffman, Amanda Lengyel, Courtney Lengyel, four great grandchildren, her devoted Ya Ya Sisters and all those who had the privilege of calling Lynne a friend. Lynne is also survived by her brother Russ (Pam) Shaw and family, sister Joan Ffoulkes-Jones and family and her late husband John’s surviving family.

Being born and raised in Lethbridge contributed to Lynne’s involvement in many community organizations such as “Lady Luck”, Lethbridge Horse Racing and the Exhibition and Bridge Clubs.

The family would like to sincerely thank all the kind and caring professionals at the Chinook Regional Hospital

A Celebration of Lynne’s Life will take place at COUNTRY KITCHEN CATERING, 1715 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB (lower level of The Keg) on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 1:00 P.M.
