1927 – 2019

Corny (Korstiaan) BIESBROEK of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Rita (Wevers), passed away peacefully on August 3, 2019, at the age of 92 years. Family and Friends are invited to pay their respects between 7:00pm and 9:00pm on Friday, August 16, 2019, at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 Street South Lethbridge, Alberta. A Celebration of Corny Biesbroek’s life will be held at 1:00pm, on Saturday August 17, 2019, at SOUTHMINSTER UNITED CHURCH, 1011-4 Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Pastor Jim Zondervan officiating. A Private Family graveside service will be held prior at Archmount Cemetery, Lethbridge, Alberta. Flowers are gratefully declined. 1969 – 2019

Mike Bodnaruk, son of Lynne (Al) Kinch and Byrnie (Angela) Bodnaruk passed away in Calgary on August 6, 2019.

Cremation. He is also survived by his sister Shannon Styra (Richard), his brother Scott Bodnaruk (Heather), niece Tia Bodnaruk, nephew Luke Styra and many aunts, uncles & cousins.

A come & go memorial will be held Saturday, August 24 at the Lethbridge Legion from 1 – 3 p.m. North East Hall Entrance only.

DANIEL JAMES FRANK passed away in Calgary on August 10, 2019 at the age of 42 years.

A Family Service will be at Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston on Monday, August 19th at 5:00 p.m. followed by the Wake Service at the Senator Gladstone Hall, Blood Reserve from 7:00 – 11:00 p.m. continuing all night at Marsha Heavy Head’s residence. The Funeral Mass will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Blood Reserve on Tuesday, August 20th at 11:00 a.m.

Marvin Clyne Harker

1943 – 2019

Mr. Marvin Clyne Harker passed away peacefully, but unexpectedly, at home on Saturday August 10, 2019 at the age of 75 years. Marvin was born and raised in Magrath, Alberta and spent most of his life in various communities in Southern Alberta. Besides his loving wife Marion, he is survived by his 2 sons from previous marriages, Troy Hedley and Ryan; his 4 siblings, LaRene (Norris) Jackson, Merlin, Jean (Fred) Hayner and Roy (Kathy); brother-in-law Arnold Wapple, and a sister-in-law Celia Harker. He was predeceased by his parents Clyne and Alice Harker and brother George and sister Karen.

HEBENIK

Hilda Hebenik, beloved wife of the late Carl Hebenik, passed away in Lethbridge on Monday, August 12, 2019 at the age of 91 years. She is survived by her children: George (Wendy), William (Judy), Hazel (David) and Lydia; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; sisters: Margaret and Marion; sister-in-law Annie. Hilda was predeceased by her parents Henry and Hazel, also Christine, Terry and 5 siblings. Hilda was born in Lucky Lake, SK and moved to Vauxhall, AB when she was 3. Hilda married Carl in 1949 and lived on the family farm in Barons for 70 years. Hilda loved her garden, the farm life and all the farm animals. As per Hilda’s request, no service will be held after the cremation. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Alberta and NWT #40, 1202 – 2nd Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB T1J 0E3. The family would like to thank the staff at Fairmont Extendicare for their care, compassion and dedication.

TINA MATTHIES, a long time resident of the Coaldale area, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at the age of 95 years.

OKUTAKE

THOMAS “TOM” ASAYUKI OKUTAKE, of Lethbridge, beloved husband of the late Barbara Okutake, passed away peacefully at the Blue Sky Manor on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at the age of 72 years.

Tom is survived by his loving daughters LaRee (Jamie) Barfuss and Janay (Jason Pecht) Okutake. He is also survived by Barb’s children Michael (Fran) Murray and Kelly (Marcello) Pagnotta, his sisters Vicky Trenchard, Marion (Jim) Tomiyama and Jean Armstrong as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Tom was the loving grandfather to Ryan (Chelsea), Rory (Mikaela) & Joel Barfuss and Maya & Griffin Pecht, Kyla (Eric) Seeley and Brady Bateman. Great-grandfather to four great-grandsons: Finnley, Beau & Ezra Barfuss and Emmerich Seeley.

Besides his loving wife Barb, Tom was predeceased by his parents Tomosada Chotei & Mary Masako Okutake.

A Come & Go Memorial Reception will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME – 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB. on Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 2:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M.

1941 – 2019

MANFRED SCHUCHARDT, of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Bobbi Schuchardt, peacefully went to Heaven on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at the age of 77 years.

Manfred is survived by his loving wife, Bobbi, his children, Anita (Dan) and Andrew (Tiffany), his step-children, Rob (Kim), Darilyn (Tim) and Nicole (Chris), as well as his nine grandchildren, all whom he cherished deeply.

Thank you to the staff on 4B at Chinook Regional Hospital and at St. Michael’s Palliative Care Unit for your wonderful care.
