Thelma Deurloo

She was born April 16, 1939 in Fort Macleod; passed away on September 26, 2019 in the Claresholm General Hospital at the age of 80 years.

Thelma was predeceased by her parents, one brother, one sister-in-law, two brothers-in-law and two grandsons.

Survived by her siblings Kornie Smit, Jake Smit and Lena Caldwell; sister-in-law Joan Van Waardhuizen; her sons Grant (Jeanette) and Jim (Jackie); daughters Sherri Deurloo, Lori (John) Van Eck, and Suellen (Neal) Konynenbelt; grandsons Cameron, Lyndon & Graham Van Eck, Paul, Ted & Jeff Deurloo, Chris & Ben Deurloo; granddaughter Kari (Steven) Kapteyn; great-granddaughter Emery and great-grandson Colton; 3 nephews and 2 nieces.

Thelma was a loving and caring person who was always ready to help if asked. She was very active in her church, starting when she began playing the pump organ for services at age 15. She loved singing in the choir, volunteered in the church library, was very active in a ladies’ bible study/service group, was janitor for a few years, and typed/printed the church’s bulletin for over 35 years. She especially loved working in her garden and doing handicrafts and jigsaw puzzles when time permitted.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The Granum Christian Reformed Church – AB-519 & Range Rd 260, Granum, Alberta on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Henry Veldboom officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Claresholm Hospital Foundation – 221 43 Ave W, Claresholm, AB T0L 0T0

KINAHAN

LEONA JULIA KINAHAN, beloved wife of the late Jack (Michael) Kinahan, of Coaldale, AB, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at the age of 89 years.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2405 – 12 Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB, on Monday, September 30, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Kevin Tumback celebrating.

LENZ

PATRICIA ALLRED LENZ, 67 years of age, passed away on September 25, 2019, in the Cardston Alberta Hospital. Pat was predeceased by a brother, Ronald Kent, parents Bhuel L. and Gwen (Hinds) Allred, her eternal husband, Arthur LaRand Lenz whom she married April 25, 2010. She is survived by her children Brooke (Ryan) Vadnais and their five children: Sage, Kenna, Mila, Piper and Bexley and Brody Aiken (Alexa).

Pat’s Paternal Grandparents were Ernest R. and Lauretta Stewart Allred.

Her Maternal Grandparents were Herbert and Mildred (Wolsey) Hinds.

Pat was born March 17,1952, in Lethbridge, Alberta, and is the 4th of 6 children: Valorie and Ron (Kapcsos), Brad and Linda (Bond), Ronald Kent (deceased), Drew and Teresa (Pitcher) and Don and Suzie (Ignacio). Parents, siblings, children and grandchildren were all recipients of her giving and deep felt love.

Pat completed high school in Cardston, Alberta and her LPN in Calgary, Alberta, and was employed for 34 years at Lander Treatment Centre, Claresholm, Alberta.

The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, South Hill Chapel, 950 Main Street in Cardston on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at 2:00 p m. Friends may meet the family from 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Interment to follow in the Hill Spring Cemetery.

Master Ian Zamudio

2015 – 2019

Master Ian Zamudio of Lethbridge, beloved son of Salvador Zamudio and Diana Flores, and little brother to Sara and David Zamudio, passed away in his home, surrounded by family on Friday, September 27, 2019 at the age of 4 years.
